America’s best shooters keep choosing Kimber. Legendary LAPD SWAT tested five major 1911 brands and chose Kimber. Setting the standard against which all other 1911 models are measured, the Custom II offers no-nonsense features that promote intuitive operation and absolute dependability. Kimber builds the world’s finest 1911 pistols right here in America – something that makes sense, as few things are as American as a 1911. Virtually every critical component of every pistol is manufactured inside the Kimber factory. The finest raw materials come through the front gate and Kimber does the rest, the only way to ensure that every part meets unequaled standards.

Palmetto State Armory has the Kimber 1911s you need for everything from concealed carry to competition.

I had been wanting a 1911 for some time but had trouble deciding which of the myriad makes I wanted to go with. However, after researching what was out there, I stumbled upon this pistol and found that almost no one had anything bad to say about it. As my first gun, I wanted to make sure I was getting my money's worth and, after firing off about 60 rounds at the range, I feel confident in my decision to buy this gun.

I bought this gun because I wanted a 1911. I was looking for my first 1911, and this one caught my eye. It's not the high-end kimber 1911, but it beats most 1911s in the market. Great buy for the price.

The operation is smooth and recoil is surprisingly low for a .45ACP. Put Crimson Trace laser grips on it so for home defense it's just a matter of light up your target and squeeze the trigger. No more lining up the sites. I also bought the .22cal conversion kit so I can practice with a cheaper round and still keep the same frame size. If I ever get out of NJ to a RTC state I will probably buy another Kimbler as a carry buddy. Good gun, you won't be sorry.

For the price....this gun blows away the competition with its features and out of the box accuracy. I researched many different 1911's and chose this one for it is a rugged, well made machine. When I received it, I put a combo of 150 rounds of good and bad ammo through this thing in one session and it cycles through flawlessly. The mag release shoots the magazine out into your hand easily. During the session, I set up on a wood pile, and some sawdust collected around the oiled parts but still no problem. I purchased and would suggest to everyone else a few of the Kimber 8rd factory magazines to go with this puppy for the extra round. This thing has steel parts and you don't need the super fancy stuff, as I said this is a well made machine, mean, and worth every penny!

I have had my Custom II for a little over 3 years now. I picked her up on sale for $649 at a local brick and mortar store. It was between her and a SA G.I. for $30 more. I have to say I made a great choice as this Custom II has been a superb firearm for the price. I use her for concealed carry and IDPA. I run Hornaday Critical Defense mixed with Gold Dots for SD and I use Tula, Wolf, or Herter's for IDPA. I have had 0 malfunctions in competition the last two years. I use Chip's Shooting star mags. I would not hesitate to recommend this firearm to anyone. I would suggest some night sights like XS or Trijicon though as an addition + some VZ grips. This firearm is a great value if you can pick it up for a decent price.

My new favorite. Now I know why so many people rave about the 1911 platform and love Kimber products! I own other well known pistols but the Kimber is the one that I want to shoot. Great workmanship. Smoothest trigger and so little flip, unbelievable to me for a large caliber. Hard to imagine this basic design is more than 100 years old! I can see having more than 1 of these in the near future.

I was super impressed with the weight of this gun for a 1911 very light and compact. Comes very tight need to run some more ammo on it

Just bought this gun in 10mm, will not load 1st round into chamber. When i did get a round into the chamber it jammed on the next round. It jammed about 90% of the time with several different brands and two different mags. I called Kimber and they are taking care off it, i'll let you know how it turns out when i get it back. It was very accurate when it fired!

Kimber II 10 mm I bought from Guns.com was absoultely filthy when it arrived. Still had factory plastic on Spring guide rod which tells me the gun had never been cleaned and could not be taken apart. The previous owner tried to take apart because of the Newbie scratches on Kimber. I assume previous owner could not take gun apart so he sold it.
