The Mark IV features a simple, one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber-to-muzzle cleaning. Features a conveniently located push-button magazine release on the left side of the frame, cold hammer forged barrel bull barrel, precision CNC-machined aluminum grip frame, blued metal finish, sighting system features a drilled and tapped receiver for Weaver or Picatinny rail for easy mounting of optics, smooth contoured black synthetic grip and a fixed front sight with an adjustable rear. 1 year agoRecently attended a rimfire pistol competition at the sportsmans club I belong to and immediately noticed almost all the shooters were using Ruger Mark series pistols. By the time the match was over I had decided to purchase a .22 LR pistol and enter the clubs next competition and also use the pistol for some small game hunting as well. 1 year agoI was one of the first to purchase the new Ruger Mark IV Target model pistols. I received a safety recall from Ruger stating they wanted to replace the safety mechanism. I had only taken the pistol to the range two times but was amazed at how accurate it shoots. It loves CCI standard velocity .22 LR (which I have plenty of). 1 year agoThe pistol is very accurate; however, it is a pain to field strip and reassemble, often requiring a hammer or mallet to remove and replace the barrel from/to frame.

1 year agoSights are way off and not adjustable to center or elevation with installed rear sight. I'm going to have to drift the rear sight and see if that will also help with elevation. If not, call Ruger and send it in for a fix.

1 year agoGreat gun so far. Put 800 ends through and it shoots very nice and accurate. The new design on this model for taking apart makes cleaning it very easy. Good purchase and price was right at Sportsman’s!
