2 years agoThis is an amazing handgun. Great trigger out of the box gets even better when broken in a bit, awesome reset. Accurate, great sights (blacked out rear, glow in the dark tritium front sight). No malfunctions. Superb grip texture and shape, replaceable back straps and frame is also a nice bonus. Nice weight. As of writing I have about 300 rounds through most of which is 115 grain CCI Blazer brass FMJ. However I have also tested my preferred carry ammo, Winchester Silvertip 115 grain JHP. Groupings are on the money with both ammunition types and no noticeable change in point of impact shooting from 15 yards using irons. If you’re looking at this gun it’s a great option I’d highly recommend, seriously punches above its weight.

2 years agoOverall a great gun! Balance is great, smooth action, takedown is much easier than advertised. My only complaint is that the rear sights can make for a tendency to shoot slightly off target when emptying a clip. Easily fixed with an optic though!

2 years agoI absolutely love this gun. I have been wanting a Beretta for quite some time now and I am glad that I finally pulled the trigger to get one. Not only the great price, including a rebate, but the overall look, feel, and performance is top knotch. Not only did my purchase include the gun, it also came with two 17 round mags, a speed loader, cleaning tool, trigger lock, 3 size grips (S,M,& L), and a hard shell case. How could you go wrong for the price... There is no wonder that Beretta has been in business close to 500 years. They definitely have a fan for life. Simply outstanding!!!

2 years agoSo I wanted to write a continuation review on this pistol. there's a couple cons that I run across that I didn't notice initially; one of the biggest is this pistol is insanely hard to take apart or disassemble for cleaning. you have to push in the takedown lever on one side with the slide lock to the rear as you push really hard down on the takedown lever it's excessively difficult and for no good reason. also I got an armor footprint optic plate which was not included in the box for about $30 ... 2 years agoI wasn't sure if I would really like this firearm but I am happily. I have short fingers but wide hand. It fit in my hand well and was very well made. For a full size handgun it was surprisingly balanced and weight not too heavy or top heavy. This pistol definitely a good deal for the cost would highly recommend it. It uses optics plates which come in different footprints so no direct slide mount is available and the mounting plates are not included quote surprisingly not expensive either brothe... Read more

2 years agoPros - good OEM trigger - Optics ready slide - Good iron sights - very good ERGONOMICS - accurate - Good build quality Cons - limited AFTERMARKET - Does not come with red dot mounting plates, sold separately (around $30 each) - proprietary magazines unique to the APX FS. They are NOT compatible with other FIREARMS at all yet - Some of us had issue with last round OPEN, requiring warranty repair

2 years agoLove this pistol. Recoil impulse feels soft and controllable even compared to other 9mm handguns. I would recommend to anyone seeking a duty size weapon. I carry this daily in the appendix position in a sidecar holster, very comfy even sitting for long periods so it can be done.

2 years agoHow this thing hadn't gotten more popular has boggled me. And for the price? Very solid. Deadly accurate. Easy disassembly (little tough at first, but that takedown lever gets easier). The grip is amazing. Consider it the Italian Glock 17MOS for under $500..

2 years agoBest full size pistol I own. Light, very accurate to 20 yards. Very comfortable in your hand. Well balanced and minimal movement when aiming. High magazine capacity. Shot 200 rounds, no jams no hang fire. As a bonus, it looks very cool.

2 years agoThe original APX was great. This newer one is a little larger, but no jams, misfires, etc. Comes nicely in a hard shell case. Great grips and extra mag included Top quality handgun from Italy.

2 years agoWonderful feeling in hand..Well balanced, New favorite..21 rd extended magazine is available, Nice... Not going to take away a star, but being required to purchase a optics plate from Beretta is not really optics ready..

2 years agoI am very pleased with this purchase. I've had my APX A1 for about a month and have put about 200 defense and range rounds through it. I have very large hands and prefer full-sized pistols. This Beretta feels beautiful, very manageable recoil, easy for me to get back on target after each shot. At this price point, I could not ask for more. I highly recommend this gun especially as a EDC for folks that prefer a full-sized gun.

1 year agoOverall a great gun. Only 4 stars because of a few issues with Beretta that will hopefully be ironed out in the future. First the good stuff: Great upgrade from the original APX, fits well in the hand, nice balance, pretty good trigger out of the box and it is getting better with use. I paired it with a Holosun HS407CO X2 optical (with an 8 MOA open circle). Was able to slow-fire 5 shots into a 4 inch group at 30 yards first time out. With practice this gun should be able to handle most
