The ONLY people buying this should be nostalgic collectors. I would never trust my life to a gun that breaks internally before shooting at least 800 rounds. I bought one to use as my night stand gun, after much research I might add, and thought it would be an excellent purchase but once it returns from the factory, I plan to getting rid of it ASAP.

This is just a little follow up to my previous review concerning the internals of this firearm. They are cheap. Plain and simple, quality gun smithing is hard to come by now a days so Colt decided to use powder based cast steel to make the entire gun. If you look on the trigger and hammer you can see the circles from the push-pins used to push the part out of the cast. Technology has made it possible to cheaply mass produce well designed firearms but the new Colt Cobra is still one of most

I did not buy ,the cylinder release button was the deal breaker for me. It was a little bigger & heavier than a smith & Wesson , the trigger was really nice ,the grips seemed nice also, I was considering the sights which looked promising but that sexy looking cylinder release button would not let the gun flow in my hands ,it through ergonomics off

While it is above average revolver, it is not up to the traditional high standards of Colt. Fit and finish was below Colt Standards. The revolver handled and shot well at the range but not likely something I will keep long term.

After many months of waiting to get my hands on one of these, Sportsmans finally had one online and I was the quickest mouse clicker to get her bought. With only about 20 rounds through it, here are my initial impressions: The trigger is very nice. DA pull is smooth with no stacking and very little over-travel after the hammer breaks. Pull is not too heavy, just about right. SA trigger is crisp and at about 4.5 lbs. Cylinder lock up has a little slop, but locks up tight after the hammer

I've never had the opportunity to shoot one of the original Colts, but have shot Rugers and Smiths. This revolver has the smoothest trigger, hands down. I've put lots of rounds through this gun. No issues. I've let some of my friends shoot it at the range. They were all impressed. A couple purchased ones of their own. Excellent carry gun and nightstand gun. 6 shots. What's not to like. Is it hand made? Nope. Is it a well built gun. Yep!

Bought my King Cobra .357 a few weeks ago and am very pleased with the workmanship, and the quality of the firearm. Yes it is a little higher in cost than other nice revolvers out there, but it is a COLT {Snake Gun} I have a Python and Anaconda and the king Cobra is one of the family as it has a nice trigger pull, that is near perfection like the other colt firearms. Fit is what you would come to expect from skilled craftsmen , and polished finish is exceptional. Accuracy is really good,

This is the best of the current snubbies. Six round capacity of .38+P is potent. Cheaper than a Ruger SP101. I grew up using Colts rather than S&W so the direction to push the cyliinder release is natural to me. Factory trigger is smooth and light. Best of any I've seen in decades. The hammer and trigger are made from molded metal to save cost. this is standard practice on modern guns and does not pose a problem.

Picked up a Colt Cobra today. Was impressed with the smooth yet solid build. It out weighs the Smith and Wesson but I will accept that. Fiber front sight is great and the hogue grip fits my meaty hands nicely.

This gun fits my hand very well and is an absolute joy to shoot. It does have some rather sharp machined edges and the finish is not really anything to write home about but the trigger is outstanding. Make no mistake; it’s no python in miniature but it is well behaved, easy to carry, hold and shoot and I really could not be happier with my new little snake gun. Definitely worth the price. Buy it, you won’t be sad.

I’ve owned and have always been impressed with the Colt Python, Anaconda line. This personal protection variant is equally appealing. The machining could be slightly refined, but overall a wonderful pistol.
