Sako’s TRG 42A1 delivers extreme long-range precision, and comes standard with a vast array of exclusive features to enhance reliability, performance, and accuracy. Available in the heavy-hitting .338 Lapua and .300 Win Mag, the TRG 42A1 utilizes a solid, vault-like action made from a special steel alloy for superior rigidity. The bolt is equipped with three locking lugs and double plungers, ensuring the utmost consistency when cycling cartridges and ejecting spent brass. The bolt features a 60° throw for fast bolt manipulations, and will clear the ocular bell of most large riflescopes. The TRG 42A1’s ultra-reliable action is perfectly complimented by it’s enhanced trigger mechanism, which features an ergonomically positioned safety switch for intuitive operation as well as improved safety measures to prevent accidental discharge in the event the rifle is dropped.
Other features of the TRG 42A1 include a highly ergonomic stock which is designed to meet individual demands, and can be finely tuned to fit every shooter’s particular style, build, and posture. Constructed from an aluminium re-inforced composite material, the stock’s cheekpiece can be adjusted laterally and vertically with the use of spacers, and the rear stock can be customized to fit the individual’s preferred height, cast on/off, as well as length of pull. The stock is also equipped with an integrated slot in the fore-end for the fast mounting/dismounting of TRG adjustable steel bipod. In addition, the TRG 42A1 is outfitted with an improved recoil pad to greatly mitigate the effects of felt recoil and improves both control and recovery.
