1 year agoFirst of I really like Taurus Pistols I already own 2 PT809 Compacts but my wife and daughter carry those so I wanted one myself so I purchased this little thing. I took it to the range and went thru 2 mags of very good defense ammo with no issues. I then switched to target ammo and I only had one box of 50. I had 10 FTF but they fire on re-strike and 5 it took 3 strikes to fire. So 15 rounds out o 50 round box failed to fire. I went back to self defense ammo to make sure it was the target ammo and all fired successfully. The gun was accurate. It did not like my target ammo at all.

1 year agoBought this after having already purchased the full size TH9 which I really liked. I was not dissapointed...due to the more compact size, accuracy and dependability, this has found a spot in my carry rotation.

1 year agoIt is what I expected. I watched a lot of Taurus 809c and Taurus th9c videos and got an idea what to expect. It has been more than that. No problems so far. You know you are shooting a 9mm but it is not much if a thumper. The 17 rpund second magazine is a real bonus. With that mag in it feels real nice. Like a full size pistol. Very satisfied so far.

1 year agoMy second gun I've owned. The first one was an older Taurus. I absolutely love my new Taurus. The 17-ROUNDS is my favorite feature of this gun! It's a great gun very reliable, and for the its low price its makes it the best gun in the market today!

1 year agoOverall, pistol works fine. Longer single action pull than most. But, it is a smooth trigger. Only complaint is the magazine rattle. Not sure if it is just my gun or if it is all of them. But, it the magazine moves enough in the grip that it makes an audible rattle when I walk. Feeds fine though.

1 year agoMag release on this unit is too stiff. I'm hopeful it's just this one unit and not the design of the gun. I will be contacting Taurus about it, now that I've put several hundred rounds downrange with it. Other than that, I like this gun.

1 year agoI call this gun my poor man’s Sig p229. The reason is because I also have a P229 Legion and often take both to the range. It’s double/single action with a decocker like the Sig, but the decocker is also a safety so you can carry it cocked and locked like a 1911 if you want or if you are a safety conscious type like me you can carry it with one in the pipe, hammer down and safety on for maximum safety. There’s no way gun can fire in this position. It’s about the same size as the Sig but

1 year agoGreat gun, like everything about it, BUT......you can't get extra 17 round magazines with sleeve anywhere. Taurus builds a gun you can't get items for them.

1 year agoLove this gun. Have shot several rounds through it and I am very pleased with the way it handles and shoots. Having a hard time deciding if I want to make this my carry piece or not.

1 year agoOverall I couldn’t be happier with this gun. I’m 71 and have arthritis. I have a Springfield XDE that I like a lot. The double action trigger is much heavier on the XDE almost ensuring I will miss with the first shot. The single action trigger is so light I’ll probably miss with the second shot also. The TH9c has a consistent trigger weight in single or double action. Safe carry options are why I have more than a couple of carry pistols. I have several striker fired pistols I can’t carry
