1 year agoThis was my first gun, and I got my FID pretty late, 28, so after having 12+ years to think about what I'd want my first gun to be, it was the stainless Gold Cup. A real pleasure to shoot, look at and talk about. Mine had a normal front sight and the medallion wraparound grips, but I fitted Hogue contoured grips and it was perfect. I personally don't like the bead blasted parts, and the stainless frame scratches easily if you're not careful with the slide lock when field stripping. I put a … Read More

1 year agoAwesome gun; after shooting MANY 1911's, this is by far the best shooting of all of them. Can't say enough good things about this gun!

1 year agoOutstanding piece of hardware. Shot 200 rounds threw the gun out of the box and it handled perfect. Well balanced. This is the type of gun that Grandfathers pass on th there GRANDSONS or GRANDDAUGHTERS.

1 year agoNEw version comes with a black ALUMINUM trigger, not the silver version in the photos. I would give it 5 stars as a shooter. I’m just not keen On the cOlor change.

1 year agoLong overdue! Colt finally made a 1911 that has features worth paying the money! Trigger pull was nice and breaks @ a crisp 4lb. with little take up and no over travel. The front strap checkering is outstanding! Could have been 5 stars. For the money, Colt could have installed decent extras like a matching black front sight instead of a fiber optic one, a1-pc guide rod, top of slide serration, ambi thumb safety and extended mag release. I know I might be asking for much but it is not easy to … Read More

1 year agoMy first time at a range and I had my new Glock 19 9mm and Colt. By far I like the Colt .45 here My friends 40 years + at the range said “best 1911 “ that they have shot EVER!

1 year agoThis weapon seems lighter than my other 1911s. I have most of the custom 1911s and didn't have a colt. I felt I should have a colt if nothing else as a reference weapon. My favorite 1911 is an Ed Brown Special Forces. Good weapon!
