2 years agoFed my new Tikka T3x Lite in 30-06 a variety of premium factory ammo to see what it liked best. I had high hopes for the Nosler e-tip, but it performed the worst out all the ammo I tested - including inexpensive Remington Core Lokt stuff used just to get on paper. Seems my gun liked the Barnes ttsx. I cannot comment on the Nosler e-tip performance on game - only it's accuracy and consistency at the range, which was underwhelming.

2 years agoIn these days of difficulty finding ammo, I gave up on my usual Nosler accubond and tried the e tips 30-06. Ballistics were basically the same and the energy at 400 yards was enough for me to use on an upcoming elk hunt. This ammo Shot the same as my accubonds out of my rifle. I have confidence that this ammo will perform very well, perhaps better at farther distances as it won’t expand as much and penetrate better. I hope I can prove my theory in the next few weeks. I think it’s an overlooked
