The P220 Legion is an enhanced version of the gun that started it all for modern day SIG. Finished in a proprietary Legion gray coating and featuring custom G-10 grips with a Legion medallion, the P220 Legion is improved in nearly every way. The stainless-steel slide sports SIG SAUER Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights as well as front cocking serrations that provide greater purchase for cycling the action, clearing the firearm or conducting press checks.

The P220 in DA/SA includes a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail, which allows for a higher grip and a reduced profile, thus eliminating printing. More aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhance the grip. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, allowing for a higher grip and greater control. The P220 Legion also features low-profile decocking and slide-catch levers to reduce the risk of snagging. An enhanced polished action with the SRT (Short-Reset Trigger) is augmented with a Grayguns, Inc. designed P-SAIT trigger. In addition, a solid steel guide rod adds weight where it matters most. The P220 Legion ships with three 8-round magazines.

Tell me why I would buy a Sig for $1500.00 and a mag capacity of 8 when I can buy a Glock with capacity of 15 for $600.00. I'm not knocking Sig I think there a fine gun but it doesn't make any sense.. Why don't manufacturers compare other guns before designing there..

I can buy a S&W or a Glock with 15 round capacity and optics ready for less than half the price. I love my P226 RX Legion, but how can I spend this much money for a gun that needs the slide milled? The limited capacity is disappointing, but the slide is a deal breaker. I recommend Sigs, but not this one.

This gun screams quality in every aspect. It actually has a really nice sao trigger in it. I do hope the good folks at Sig put some of these out with the adjustable flat trigger. Accurate 10mm but im still going to have flat adjustable trigger put in it with a single stage job. Overall No regrets here worth every penny.

Recently purchased this for primary carry in bear country in Wyoming when hiking. I also own the P220 Legion in 45ACP. Legions are great. Started breaking it in and have fired about 250 rounds without any feed or ejection issues. Given the steel frame and additional weight compared to the P220-45, the recoil on the P220-10mm is less than expected. I have even fired the pistol single handed to assure I could control it if I have fallen back on the ground with a bear on top of me. Hope that never happens. This is really a pistol that deserves high praise.

I was at the range with my cousin,he's a little older than me and he's made some questionable moments in gun buys, like the .500 magnum which is a nail driver if you hold it by the barrel. Anyway he had a weapon in 10mm,it was loud and I knew the first ones from the 80s,the Bren 10,and Colts Delta Elite.I tried his Sig out for 20 minutes, I love the kick or lack of,and I expected a .44 mag recoil and I'm glad it didn't get it.My EDC is a P320C 9mm and every Sig I've used or owned all were

Have the P220 Equinox .45 ACP, have been looking for a 10mm to replace a different one I use to have in polymer frame and really did not enjoy shooting. By chance I found a P220 Legion 10mm SAO in a local shop. I made the purchase and headed to the range. Very enjoyable to shoot vs polymer frame 10mm’s I have shot and owned. Very accurate out of the box and no issues with FMJ or JHP I shot. My only issue is trying to find a quality retention holster to be part of my carry rotation.

I have both the .45 and the 10mm and they are nothing short of amazing. I have quite a few p220's and the legion is better than the rest. In .45 it's an absolute tack driver. In 10mm it's a laser. It's all the benefits of a 1911 without any of its faults. With the 10mm I can hit a spray can bottle at 100yds. I couldn't come close with my friends polymer gun. And when you shoot the two side by side, you feel the difference how each gun handles such a powerful round. Don't let the "muh capacity" folks fool you. It's hard to miss with the p220. 8+1 will do just fine.

I've waited a long time to replace my old Colt 10mm. This is truly built around the power of this great cartridge. It's heavy, very tight fitting slide/frame, great ergonomics, very accurate, and looks great! It thrives on the more powerful ammo and is a joy to shoot. If you're concerned with mag capacity, carry extras........chances are you won't need them. My SAO is incredible. I have the Legion leather holster from Mitch Rosen it looks/works great! I also have a chest holster from Gunfighter Inc. No regrets with this expensive purchase as it's my best pistol. A true show piece.

This is a P220, the first platform Sig Sauer produced as a consolidated company back in the 70s. It's not a double stack poly pistol, it's a 10mm tack driver forged from a single stell ingot with one of the best triggers on the market and sights to boot. If you're buying this $1500 firearm, please don't cry about the 8 round single stack mag... Again it's a P220 and being single stack is inherent to it's design. You wouldn't buy a wilson or STI 1911 and complain about it being single

Love my Legions. I paid 1500$ for a low capacity, not optics ready, and heavier than a Glock because I can. I like fine firearms and I have a job. Complainers about prices are welcome to visit Taurus or perhaps EAA’s website. Your looking here because you want one but don’t want to work hard enough to buy one haha

I own about all of the Legion series in DA/SA and in SAO, and in 9mm, .40s&w, .45acp and now in 10mm. I have yet to experience a malfunction of any sort. Some say that hammer fired handguns are obsolete and more difficult to master, I beg to differ ! One of the best triggers are DA/SA and/or SAO.

All metal, DA/SA, 45 ACP, Sig Goodness. If it were ever possible for an EDC CCW to be an heirloom piece, it would be this P220 Carry. The only downer is that seller sent me the old school 7 round magazines, not the modern 8 rounders that replaced the old ones a decade ago. The 8 round magazines are MORE convenient for concealed carry beca...Read More Read more about review stating Appendix Carry Approved Heirloom Piece

This piece of equipment is great for using as a nice stand for cook books as it is very durable. It is also great for sautéing vegetables and the bullets add a healthy amount of vitamins such as lead. I highly recommend this for large gatherings where you need to make a lot of food because it cuts down the costs of having to use things like mixers...Read More Read more about review stating Great for cooking

Excellent experience buying through Guns.com. Sig’s p220 legion excels on every measure—Quality is second to none, recoil and balance in hand is very well thought out, grip/sights/and trigger are all superior to most, agility is surprising giving the weight and full size. Will be buying into the legion family again.

This awesome pistol arrived about 4 days after I ordered it, on a weekend. Ad said it was a safe queen. It was. Pistol was pristine, not a nick or scratch. Even had the Sig sticker in the box. Guns.Com really did a great job on this pistol.

I used to own a P220 and traded it years ago. I e regretted it ever since. That gun shot perfectly right out of the box. I haven’t had the chance to shoot this one yet as I only picked it up 5 days ago. I bought this one used as the new ones are ridiculously high since Sig stopped manufacturing the P220. The only drawback to the model itself is th...Read More Read more about review stating Fine weapon.
