Deer Season Slug 12 gauge ammo is designed specifically for smooth-bore barrels and features a 1 1/4 ounce slug with a stabilizing wad that inserts through the slug to form a dome-shaped tip. 2 years agoShot out of my scoped Rem 12ga. 870 with 20" smooth bore slug barrel at 50yrds and were very accurate, nice group..A little bright on the recoil but that just proves what's leaving the muzzle..

1 year agoPowerful smooth and the knock down is amazing. I bought this ammo the night before season opened when I realized I didn’t have any slugs. Looked everywhere and finally found these Winchester Slugs and purchased them out of necessity. I was amazed with the performance. One shot knock down a 7 point in his tracks! I plan on using these from now on....I hope Winchester never stops making this slug!

1 year agoTook a 9 point at 65 yards with one of these. Between the distance and the tree cover he was behind, this was one of the most difficult shots I’ve ever taken in my life. These slugs were not only dead on accurate at 65 yards with only a bead sight, but after the shot he ran about 15 yards before he dropped. Unbelievable accuracy and velocity out of this slug. I don’t think I will ever use anything else during firearm season.

1 year agoVery consistent groups out of 20" smooth bore cylinder bore barrel. Recoil no more than any other 2 3/4" standard load foster slug. Didn't get to shoot over the Chronograph yet.

1 year agoThese slugs shoot just fine out of my 870 with a smooth bore 20" barrel.Out to 60 yards they fly well and group nice for a shotgun round.Recoil is a bit salty on old bones like mine but that's the nature of the beast.. Will buy again.. Dave in North Central Pa.
