1 year agoI admit, I haven't fired them yet - but hey, they're "Winchester" brand shells, so I'm rather confident when I pull the trigger, my shotgun will go "BOOM." I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a great deal!

1 year agoOne word would do - Winchester ???? However, PDX1 DEFENDER patterns awesome at various yardages. The muzzle velocity can not be beat! Burns clean and cycles flawlessly in both my pump action and semi auto Mossberg. I would NOT want to be on the receiving side of these segmented rifled slugs...They do the job very well!!!

1 year agoNice light very heavy round. Real easy to stay on target but packed a ton of knock down against ballistic gel.

1 year agoI was scared to use it because the slug felt like it was moving in the shell. i have 100s of other slugs and the shells are solid in the shell.

1 year agoMy dad and I split a box of these for deer hunting this year and twice in the same day he had a casing not eject and I had a deer broadside at 30 yards, when I pulled the trigger there was just a "click". A freaking dud, the deer just ran into the thick brush as soon as I jacked another shell in the chamber. Couldn't get a other shot.

1 year agoThis is a very dangerous bullet. My boyfriend was cleaning out the gun safe and had one of these bullets in his hand, mind you the gun is no where around, when KAPOW!!! The bullet went off, traveled across the room, through the closet door and through the cloths hanging in the closet. Thank the lord no one was injured in this freak accident. There’s no reason for the loose bullet to have gone off. It was not dropped pinched or banged on anything and again was no where near the firearm. We no

1 year agoThis ammo is made for home and personal defense not hunting.I have shot a lot of rounds with my Judge with no miss fires at all. If you use this ammo for its intended purpose it works perfect. Target shooting with it is also a whole lot of fun.

1 year agoBought this when my only self-defense option was an old twelve gauge pump, the gun no longer works but I wanted to test it so I put it through my single shot Winchester 37A. It maintains tight groups at self-defense distances (didn't have an opportunity to go further back), and seemed as though it hit quite hard. I saw that someone selected this round for hunting but then felt let down which is disappointing, however these are certainly not hunting shells and probably shouldn't be used as such.

1 year agoI haven't been able to use them yet, and I purchased them for grizzly defense, before I found some others that served the purpose better, however, I am excited at the prospect of using them in the shotgun season for deer soon.

1 year agoThis ammo would stop any bad guy drugged or not at close range.and the recoil is not as bad as expected.I have regular 00 buckshot for hunting.Winchester has always made great ammo and I buy a lot. A bad guys worse nightmare is Winchester 12 gauge defensive ammo.I hope Im never put in a situation to have to use it .
