With a couple of shoulder surgeries over the years I can take my rifle to the range and shoot a box without any undue pain. Might not hunt with it but you could depending on what game you're after.

My wife won a .300 win mag at a charity event. I was concerned that she would not like the rifle, but she was determined to take it hunting. I purchased a box Hornady Custom Lite 150 gr SST. It performed exactly as advertised, in fact it was more pleasant to shoot that my .30-06 (which is the same model rifle). My wife loved her rifle and shot it very well. After our range trip I immediately went back to Sportsman's and picked up two more boxes. Hopefully she will get a chance to test them on a deer this fall!

12 year old son has harvested 2 Cow Elk and 2 Antelope in the past 3 years using this ammo in his 308 Winchester. Single shot kills. Love this ammo. I even started using it in my 270 Winchester.

I bought this ammo so my grandson could shoot his Ruger American Compact in 308 win. I found it to be exactly as advertised and was indeed light recoiling - probably in the .243 class. It was also very accurate giving groups from .68 inches to .98 inches at 100 yards. I can't say anything about it's performance on game yet but I have always been happy with Hornady in this department.

I really like this Ammo and for white tail deer it works very well. Unfortunately, for hogs the round comes off as a little light. The reduced recoil is nice if you have younger shooters or older shooters with shoulder trouble. All in all, extremely accurate at 100+ yards and excellent for hunting - to a point. If you have heavy skinned animals that are harder to take down consider something with more weight.
