Improving on the FNP-45 Tactical, developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, the FNX-45 Tactical FDE was born and bred for battle. Like its legendary FN forefathers, this combat handgun was designed to not only survive the battlefield, but to emerge victorious. It is the latest in technological advancements in handgun engineering, offering .45 ACP performance and a host of unique features that no other handgun can match.
Its 15-round magazine is precisely engineered to take a dive to the prone position and naturally roll up toward the target. The checkered polymer frame has a low-bore axis for reduced felt recoil, enhanced operator control, and a grip angle that provides unmatched natural point of aim. Four interchangeable backstraps come standard to quickly customize the grip feel. All operating controls are fully ambidextrous for ease of use. The 5.3″ cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel has a threaded muzzle to accept sound suppressors, compensators, and other accessories. The stainless steel slide has high-profile combat night sights and includes two mounting bases to accept multiple styles of optional red-dot electronic sights.

1 year agoPISTOL SHOOTS GOOD AND CONSISTENT WITH GROUPINGS, MULTIPLE BACK STRAPS WILL FIT YOUR GRIP, WONDERFUL STORAGE CASE. THE BAD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PISTOL.. MY ONLY ISSUE WITH IT IS THE VORTEX OPTIC. THE OPTIC HAS 2 LOCKING SCREWS THAT AFTER SIGHTING IN YOU TURN TO LOCK SO IT HOLD CENTER. SOUNDS GREAT! PROBLEM IS THAT THE OPTIC SITS AGAINST THE REAR SIGHT AND THE SCREWS CANNOT BE ACCESSED TO LOCK IT IN. WHEN YOU GET THE PISTOL, THE BATTERY HAS TO BE INSTALLED. 1 year agoAfter adjusting the red dot and getting used to the trigger pull, it's very accurate as long as you can deal with 45aCP recoil. I can't wait to shoot it suppressed.

1 year agoReally cool FN. The Vortex Viper is probably not the best as there are 2 adjustment screws that are are blocked by the rear sight on the weapon, meaning you would have to loosen the screws, remount, sight-in, dis-mount, tighten adjustment screws, remount and hope you are zero'd in. The Vortex Venom is the better option as this optic does not have the adjustment screws that would be blocked by the rear sight. The Vortex sights also come with a mount that allows you to mount to another firearm;
