Winchester 308 180gr Power-Point Super-X Ammunition 20rds – X3086

Super X .308 150gr When I bought my rifle I wanted 180gr, but could only find the 150gr. I have not been disappointed, have shot 4 deer and 3 dropped where they were standing, the other ran about 25 yards.

I've used these shells for several years. Got my bull moose and several deer with them. This year taking my 308 rem out of the vault and first 3 shots was this grouping, very impressive as I don't have anything professional to shoot off of.

Has good accuracy but has no knock down power didn't even punch through even though I killed a buck left no blood and found bullet in hide on opposite side shooting 150 gr. Power point 30-06 100yds

Shot a Whitetail buck at 40 yards. Downhill shot, struck neck and broke a vertebrae. The bullet continued downward, crossed the chest and passed through the far (right) shoulder blade. I found the bullet where it stopped under the hide, bulging it out. That buck dropped in his tracks and never even wiggled. I handload but when it comes to .44 carbine hunting this load is my first choice. This gets it done right.

I’ve found these ammunition for my original Springfield Trapdoor 1884 and shot great with no difficulties. For those having issues on ammunition for 45-70 trapdoor this ammunition is definitely safe to use as long as the bore is good and mechanically works. Definitely will use this product again for my trapdoor, but Winchester needs to be updating if this ammunition is still in production or discontinued because it’s becoming frustrating for ammunition to not be available.

The 80 grain soft points work extremely well in my Remington 783 , the photo is a 3 shot group at 200yds , for factory ammo i think it is excellent , i am wondering if anyone out there knows what powder and bullets Winchester use in this load ,

Extremely shocked at the capability this ammo can do. Shot a nice buck with the .223 64grain deer ammo at 400 yards hit did on where it need to. No over penetration. The deer leaped and dropped. Will highly recommend these and will definitely buy more

Shot a moose with the power point 175 grain 7mm rem mag and it dropped within two feet of where it was standing.

Excited to sight in my new Browning in 270 Win, I purchased this ammunition in order to find a "my rifle's" ammunition (along with three other boxes of similarly-priced ammunition). Upon comparison, the bullet grouping (after it was sighted in) was very decent, I would say 2nd from all the brands. However, on the reliability side, no go. My first round of this ammunition misfired (or primer failed to combust). Over a box of 20, this happened 5 times. This did not happen to any of the other brands of ammo. As much as I would love to take this to the field, I would not be comfortable having these in a mag while I'm face to face with a buck of a lifetime.

My father purchased my first hunting rifle a Model 94AE .356 Win. back in the early 90's. I have always found a hard time finding ammo. I was told every couple of years Winchester makes the off caliber rounds. If this is true where can I get some. I have many rifles now but there is nothing like shooting a lever action and being that my father is no longer here and this is the first gun he bought for me I hold it dear to my heart.

Had a great season with this round, 2 does and 1 buck. The knockdown power is awesome however I feel this round lack a bit on accuracy so beyond 250 yards I’d pick the Deer Season XP. Last one is 1.0 - 1.5” groupings on 300 yards from my model 70 featherweight

I get sub moa three shot groups at 100 yards at the range. Zeroed my Glenfield 30a (Marlin 336) at 150 yards. In the field I have taken one coyote at forty yards and three large hogs at distances from 40 to 250 yards. All were one shot kills except for the one at 250 yards as he needed another shot at 270 yards.

It is a decent cheap(er) hunting ammo. I bought the 150gr 30-06. It groups very well and works on game like deer (probably It would do well on black bears etc. too but for those I use 180 grains).

I've taken 3 deer and a 300lb hog with this bullet along with various other small game and coyotes. The hog was shot right between the eyes and the shot path looked like a funnel down into his spine. Put 5 shots inside a 1inch bulls eye at 70yrds. Ammunition is amazingly accurate.

Used these in my 30-30 on a hog hunt in Texas. Took two with one shot at 40 and 140 yards. A third required a follow up shot but the first shot was at 250 yards the follow up shot at 270 yards. As stated above, accurate and lethal!

Remington loadings do not hold a candle, Hornady is overpriced for what is, in my Marlin 336C, underperformance in my opinion. Accurate, Dependable, Deadly. I am a man of few words when few words are all that are needed.

Winchester 308 and 30-06 Power Points will generally equal or exceed the accuracy of my handloads. Winchester brass is giving me the number of loadings I normally expect based upon 48 years of reloading. Unlike ammo another manufacturer- I have Never found a single round of Winchester ammo with a cracked case in a newly opened box. Winchester has NOT lowered quality. Winchester is the ammunition I recommend to my hunting buddies, and I don't hesitate to hunt with it in preference to my own handloads. This is the highest compliment this handloader can possibly give to a manufacturer.

It's great that this ammo is available but don't expect the new box as pictured. I got 2 very old boxes. Hopefully they are good because there's no refunds on ammo.

Great ammo, and you dont have to go broKe to Buy it. I hunt hogs and anyone who hunts knows How touGh they are to bring down, this ammo brings Them down even when you dont Get a brain shot.

Great round for Boars and Elk! Consistent no matter what temp. Sight in dead center at 200 yds. One shot takedowns at 50 to 250 yds no problem. Friends using the same ammo for Boars and Elk and Ram. We do this so ammo accuracy is maintained even if horse takes of with your ammo in his pack.
