2 years agoGood solid gun. Functions with no problems. Accuracy is acceptable, slightly low and left. Overall a near perfect, although slightly less worn out than the ones the army loaned me in the early 80s. Sights are tiny. Finish not shiny 8 rounds are a nice thing to have. On the negative side, those gawd- awful ugly yellow wood grips. Gross. But now I have something to do until the snow melt. Look for the perfect set of grip panels Lost a star for ugly

2 years agoI’m very glad I bought the Taylors & Company 1911A1. Mine was an inexpensive, but certainly not cheap, Black Friday purchase. I've run more than 300 rounds through my pistol without a single failure, stoppage or hiccup. It is accurate, shooting to the point of aim. It is very well made (by Armscor in the Philippines) – beautiful internal machining and very nice external fit and finish. Slide fit to receiver group is precise and smooth with no rattle when shaken hard. This 1911

1 year agoFor the price I didn't have high hopes, but I figured it's a good enough price to try out some mods and not be too worried. I got 2, left 1 stock, and put a recover tactical grip with rail on the other. These things shoot true, feed whatever you put in them, and have a surprisingly crisp trigger. I have no regrets with these and it's an awesome addition to the hunting bag.

1 year agoVery pleased with quality for the price. Accurate and functioned flawlessly through one hundred rounds.

1 year agoMine has been flawless so far. I painted the front sight white as it was hard to see at the range. Fun gun

1 year agoGreat gun! I bought two of them as its such a great price. They are old school and built solid, none of that plastic stuff. Use them for occasional plinking. Long live the .45 acp!!

1 year agoGreat gun for a great price. Clean and simple 1911. Didn’t know if I could handle the .45 but it’s an absolute blast. Pun intended. Only downside the clips that come with are a little cheap but not a deal killer.

1 year agoI was pleasantly surprised when I got this pistol. This is a great value if you are looking for a basic.45. I added a Wilson combat 5 spring kit and it shoots and functions great ????

1 year agoI've got several Rock Island 1911's, and they're unbeatable for their price point. On sale, like this one was, I should have bought two!

1 year agoSolid and smooth. Nothing in this price range compares. I wish I had bought two when they were on sale.

1 year agoShoots great. Awesome gun, can’t beat it for the price. Upgraded the grips to a rubber set, much better feel now.

1 year agoIt only rates 4 stars because it already had wear at the front edge of the slide (typical of the black finish). Also PSA sent the wrong model with a flat mainspring housing. I kept it because it was a killer black Friday deal! Overall quality is great for the price range. It came in a plastic case with two KCI mags and a manual. The grips are a light colored wood .

1 year agointeresting 1911 for Christmas bargain rate. It is my first 1911, Do all 1911 shoot so hard? I have a Glock 21 and she is a pleasure to shoot. other than that she ran fine no problem only 30 rounds

1 year agoThis is an awesome pistol and the price was unbelievable! In quality, it ranks up there with the heavyweights. It's performance is matchless! No regrets on this piece. Purchased during the Christmas sale and the delivery was on time. Thanks PSA !

1 year agoShipping was pretty quick, even during the holiday season. Gun was well oiled to protect it. The slide is a little stiff but there are no rattles or janky feeling. The trigger is not bad for a cheaper 1911. The magazines are tight to insert but the gun does everything that was asked of it. I have put about 100 rounds through it at the time of review.

1 year agoGreat pistol at a great price. I got mine on a black Friday sale. Was like 270 before tax. I have had zero issues and the fit and finish is perfect for me. It's made the same place as RIA 1911s. Comes with 2 KCI 8rd mags.

1 year agoGreat value. Fit and finish is good. Burned thru 50 rounds no problem. Very happy with the purchase.

1 year agoSmooth Action and Very Accurate, if you're complaining about the trigger... you didn't use your finger muscles enough in middleschool to shoot this 1911.

1 year agoI was extremely excited to get my hands on this Taylor’s and company 1911, especially for the price ($299). The 1911 comes with two 8 round magazines which is a plus. Everything about the gun so far seems like a very tight fit with no wiggle or looseness to it. The sights are fairly cheap and fixed, so don’t expect high quality. So far the only thing that has caused issues is the inability to chamber hollow points (I used Sierra outdoor master 185 gr). I’ve used three different magazines and

1 year agoBought this as a cheap 2nd 1911. Doesn't feel cheap and shoots very well. Even digesting cheap steel cased ammo. Very satisfied.
