I was in the market for a "value" 1911, since I'd never owned one before. Many of the less expensive 1911s are said to be good shooters, but leave much to be desired when it comes to their fit and finish. Others are said to be "junk". Any value 1911 with blue finish that I've seen looks horrible and I was convinced I wanted a stainless. Non of these complaints apply to this Taurus. Overall, I think the fit/finish is quite good. There are areas that could be improved, but this isn't a … Read More

Was looking for a 1911 that wasn't crazy price wise and know Taurus has been making quality firearms since I was a kid. This pistol didn't disappoint. Build and material quality first rate, sights were dead on and the accuracy for an out of the box 1911 was amazing....this is not a loose gun. And it fed 50 rounds of Remington Golden Sabre 230gr JHP flawlessly before it or the mags were shot-in. I have put 200 rounds through it and not a burp. Money well spent and this was my first transaction with Grabagun. Now I know not to waste time or money anywhere else. Great job, Grabagun!

I have been looking to purchase a 1911 for a while now. After a lot of research for quality without a hefty price I decided on the Taurus. I am completely happy I purchased this gun. Looks great and performs even better. This was also my first experience with grabagun which was top notch. I ordered the gun on a Thursday and it arrived at my FFL on the following Tuesday. Amazing turn around! Thank you grabagun, I'll be buying from you again.

The Taurus .45acp 8 round is a fun gun to shoot. It has a recoil that lets you know your shootimg a powerful gun. The only thing I'd like to have is more rounds in the clip to keep shooting.

Great purchase! Arrived sooner than expected! I went and put 200 rounds through her and only had one feed failure experienced in the very first magazine. I wrote that off as a new gun working out the kinks. A lot of folks tried to warn me off a Taurus purchase. However reviews of their 1911 gave them much praise. I'm very happy I decided to not listen to the nay sayers. I took the stock grips off and added pearl grips and gold screws.

Rough and a poor trigger out of the box a lot of rough creep and very heavy, others report much better but with a minum of smoothing things up and a little trigger work I now have a very nice crisp 44 oz. trigger with almost no creep or over travel and very accurate

Great budget 1911. I little on the heavy side but comes out of the box with some nice features. Has not failed me yet.

The range is closed so I've only been able to dryfire. It's exactly as advertised/reviewed. I didn't like the plastic grip panels so have installed Pachmayr G-10...Perfect fit/function with the ambi-safety. The rail limits available holsters...most "1911" fitment charts assume 'no rail' and it will NOT fit...Alien Gear knows the difference so that's what I ordered...waiting for delivery.

I bought this 1911 45 after some research & reviews from my trusted reviewers. I had tritium sights installed by a trusted gunsmith. I disassembled it,, lubed the usual spots & put new grips on. I put 250 rounds through it, 25 being JHP defensive rounds. All 230gr. Not one failure. It is accurate & reliable at half the price of my S&am...Read More Read more about review stating Taurus 1911 45

Great buy for the money. Description was spot on, rating was about what I would have rated it as used firearm. Slide is a little looser than I personally like but I have seen, Smith &Wesson, Ruger and Colt 1911’s brand new that had the same looseness. It shoots great, love the factory ambi safety, I wish they had put factory night sights but b...Read More Read more about review stating Very solid 1911

I purchased this gun in 2020 and have put over 1,000 rounds through it with no problems what so ever. I've always wanted a 1911 since I was a kid and with the help of my uncle that is a retired Marine I picked this one out and couldn't be happier. It is worth every penny

I thought the website was too good to be true but it is in fact a reliable source. I received it within days from a FFL and I was not disappointed. Highly recommend.
