This is a great shooting pistol! Even though I am not a expert shooter, I am able to get great groupings with it. the grip feels good, it does not feel bulky or too small. My only downfall is finding a holster to fit my 1911 with Picatinney rail (no attachments). I have owned my 1911 for 4 months now and have not found one yet to fit it. Overall though I love my 1911 it is a great first .45 for anyone!

Found the PT 1911 to very well made! Shoots great, I only have 300 rounds down range. Impressive 2 inch groups at 25 yards. Good alternative to the expensive big name firearms.

Purchased this at the beginning of the year and cant say enough about the value and the quality. The day I got it I put well over 200 rounds through it and it performed perfrectly.Anyone in the 1911 market should seriously consider this gun.

The fit and finish on the gun was more than I expected. no rattles or sloppiness anywhere. I made the mistake of thinking I could get back into reloading since I have been out of it for 20 years. I guess we have a right to arms - we just don't have a right to powder to use them.

Ok, so I did my homework, I researched for an economically priced handgun. This gun goes upwards towards the $800, $900, it even breaks the $1000 mark. For $499, its a steal. I read countless forums upon the Taurus PT1911 AR, watched upteenth videos on YouTube about it. You know what, .... ? There were good reviews and there were bad reviews. hard to tell which is more. But , I do not care. This gun is beautiful, it fits my hand just nicely( and I have small hands, btw). And I plan on purchasing … Read More

This pt1911 is amazing for the cost. This is actually my second time owning one and I am just as pleased this time as I was last time. Shipping was relatively quick even though I ordered 1 day before thanksgiving. Nice job GrabAGun.

This is my first 1911 and I'm extremely happy with it. I received it in a good time frame and in excellent condition. I took it to the range and shot the cheapest ammo I could buy then medium grade and Speer Gold Dot through it. It ate everything I gave it with only one FTF. It was with an aftermarket mag on its first use so I believe it to be the mag and not the gun itself. If you're on a budget or just starting with the 1911 I highly recommend this gun. The accuracy of the gun is great.

This is a good solid 1911, that is also a great value. Fit of the gun is very good, as is reliability and accuracy. Also the gun comes from the factory with extras such as front strap checkering lowered and flared ejection port, hand fit frame, slide and bushing, that would cost extra on other guns. The finish is okay, but not to my taste, so I ceracoated mine.

First off dont be scared off by the Taurus name as this 1911 is a great shooting 45 acp I had good groupings at 15 yards with mixed ammo mostly cheap stuff. This 1911 is in spec in every way and they have removed the big Taurus name and put a small stamped logo all the way to the back of the slide and on the other side it just says 1911 stamped on the slide.A great value for sure so buy yours today and you will be very happy that you did

Accurate, eats everything you feed it, and comes with a feature set you won't find on anything else in the price range (except for maybe ATI or RIA Filipino guns). Checkering is great. Rail is awesome. Trigger is 7/10 My only gripe was that the rear sight was a little loose when it arrived, but that's a very simple fix.

This is the best 45 I've ever shot. I've shot more expensive Ruger and s&w 45s none of them felt so comfortable in my hand and none of them were as accurate. I will say however, if your the kind of person who doesn't carfully set down your pistols this may not be the gun for you. The finish is very sharp looking but it is scratched of somewhat easily.

After the pistol warms up, casing will eject directly up and back and land on my head which can get annoying

Honestly this is a pretty good 1911 pistol. I'll start with the negatives, grips feel like really cheap plastic (Wasn't a big deal for me because I had better grips waiting). Trigger is not bad, pretty crisp and reset is tight. I replaced the hammer to lighter version. I put 300 rds through it the first time I took it to the range, not one malfunction or stove pipe issue. Was very accurate, I was shooting low left which was probably due to my grip. The sights aren't great, I think that is … Read More
