The Vanguard Camilla rifle designed by women, built by Weatherby incorporates a high comb, along with a number of other features that make this rifle superbly comfortable to shoot. The buttstock is angled away from the body, which is a better fit for the female anatomy and nestles easily into the shoulder. The slim pistol grip has a shorter grip-to-trigger reach, ideal for slightly smaller hands, and the 13 inches length of pull (LOP) and slender fore-end reduce overall weight and length without compromising feel and balance. A combination that makes this a super-fast-handling rifle that is also easy to carry.

1 year agoGot for female shooters and they like it, feels good. Safety is cheap, stiff and hard edges for the fairer sex to be expected to slip off safe in tense situations of poor dexterity. Doesn’t feel qualify like old rifles. Honestly, it feels like the boltgun cuz of my Romanian AK47. Cheap parts and finishes, hopefully it’s as reliable. Haven’t shot it yet. Decent price to say she shoots a weatherby, but maybe just buy something with 20” barrel adjustable LOP and riser. I don’t think I’d recommend it to anybody over conventional “man” rifle.

1 year agoI purchased the Vanguard Camilla Wilderness in 7mm-08 for my wife. Mounted a 4x16x44 scope and zeroed at 100 yards using Hornady Precision Hunter 150 grain ammo. She shot it very accurately out to 500 yards. She just completed her 2022 elk hunt in New Mexico by taking a 7x7 bull at 380 yards. The rifle fit her well and it was very accurate.
