Sockeye Hunter
2 years agoHaving grown up watching the Lone Ranger, I recall the Winchester lever action was the gun the personified the West. This gun fulfills that vision in all aspects. The workmanship it high quality, with beautiful wood, blued finish and smooth action. Right out of the box the shots were accurate and effective from 25 yds to 100 yds. I'm really looking forward to learning the nuances of this rifle and dialing in my skills using it. With .44 Mag, it has a powerful kick that requires a recoil pad. Without that you're looking at getting injured after more than a few rounds. However when running .44 Special through it, the true joy of firing this period piece gun comes to light! I can almost imagine myself in the West as it was 130 years ago when this John Browning masterpiece was released.
