Precision, performance and price have never come together like this. Savage rebuilt the synthetic stock on the AXIS II for improved ergonomics that let any hunter shoot their very best. Like always, the rifle’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger, thread-in headspacing and floating bolt head extract the utmost accuracy from the 22 inches button rifled sporter barrel for the performance of high-end hunting rifles at a fraction of the price.

I purchased an Axis ii but received an Axis and had to contact Savage to get the correct trigger sent to a gunsmith and had to pay for installation as they wouldn’t release it to me. That cost me extra money on the purchase.

bought because i wanted a light weight 22-250. ordered on line, good service from Sportsman Warehouse. -barrel hits on left side front of stock, removed action and sanded inside of barrel channel -when removing action found front action allen screw hole for allen scre stripped, ordered replacement screws all good now. -front hole for scope base "buggered" up, did not want to strip screws, bought 8-48 tap and "chased" holes, all good now. -magazines are difficult to load, ammo does

Is a good used gun this never had been shot from the way it looked inside as well as outside .it shoots great just wish it had a wooden stock to help with recoil.but still like the gun.

This rifle is a decent rifle but the forend was touching the barrel (so the barrel is not free floated) and the trigger spring is to stiff making it hard to cycle open. Also, I got this rifle thinking it would feed flat nose bullets from the magazine, but only spritzer bullets cycle from the magazine.
