1 year agoI love the 1911 format. I own a 45 ACP and am looking to purchase a 9mm 1911. This GSG 1911 is a 22LR. It has frequent issues with loading and jams frequently. Also, lots of "Dud" rounds that I reuse in my GSG 16 Riffle. I have thoroughly cleaned it and upgraded the Guide Rod but I see no improvement.

1 year agoThis is a well made California compliant .22 which are hard to find. It does NOT like cheap ammo, so use CCI or better. It’s very accurate right out of the box and has the same weight and feel of a much larger caliber. Great for the range to save on ammo. Due to the feeding issues, I don’t think I would ever use it in any other capacity than target practice.

1 year agoJust took it out for it's time today, ran nearly 500 rounds through it and couldn't be happier. Had some small issues but it was clearly ammo related. I ran Remington high velocity .22 thunderbolt ammo and the quality control on the ammo should've been a little better. Can't wait to go shooting again.

1 year agoGreat fit and finish. Excellent weight to this. Makes a great trainer for a 1911. My only complaints are the magazine safety is just stupid, and it really should come with the 1/2" thread adapter in the box. Otherwise this is a great pistol for a great price.

1 year agoThe GSG 1911m is a great pistol. High quality and fun to shoot It has become one of my favorites. You do need to use A high velocity 22, though.

1 year agoGood pistol, but some difficulties to start with. Failure to eject, failure to load next round, and stove pipes. Made a couple of fixes to remove paint from inside the slide rails and replaced the guide rod with a better stainless steel option from Nic Taylor Tactical. Now it functions perfectly with no failures. Fun and accurate.

1 year agoGreat gun. Other than the slide, it feels exactly like the original. Obviously it’s not all metal, but there’s ways to replace what I don’t like. Very impressed. I’m actually thinking of getting a couple more, but first I have to replace all these plastic parts. I have changed some but I’m not completely done, so, when I do, I’ll list parts, part numbers and prices.

1 year agoI heartily recommend this firearm. I’ve put about 250-300 rounds thru it with only a couple of hiccups. Probably just needs to be broken in. I will get some upgrades for it in the near future, but as of now couldn’t be more pleased. The purchasing process with Sportsman’s Warehouse was very easy and smooth. Will definitely use them again.

1 year agoI have had my GSG 1911 pistol for a couple weeks and I sighted it in according to the book. The pistol shoots very well. Cycled a couple hundred rounds through it without a flaw. Very accurate and smooth to shoot. The pistol is very comfortable to handle, feels good in my hands. The weight seems to be just right. Very happy with my purchase. Excellent pistol!!

1 year agoThe GSG M1911 in .22 LR is an excellent , low-cost, range alternative to the 1911 A1 in .45 ACP. This model is is the same as the model built for another American / European manufacturer based in New Hampshire, USA.. The fit / finish is excellent. Upon receipt of a few more mags, I'll take it for a Test & Evaluation session at the local range.

1 year agoI have this exact gun, I changed the grips to the finger groove grips. It was my EDC, I have put about 3,700 rounds thru it in the past 4 years. I have purchased 2 extra magazines, this is a very good gun.

1 year agoGot yesterday, shot it today, 200 rnds, functioned flawlessly. Absolutely no issues. Very accurate. Feels just like my Colt .45 just a tad lighter in weight. Fine workmanship evident, nice finish. Very pleased.

1 year agoHave not shot it yet ,but it feels great and the quality appears to be excellent. I do plan to change the guide rod in the near future. I guess I read too many reviews suggesting it . I am totally satisfied with the purchase !!!

1 year agoGot my GSG 1911-22 and took it to the range (after an initial cleaning, of course). Wonderful trigger! This gun feels and fires like my full-size 1911 without the recoil. Fills my hand with the same weight and feel of a higher caliber 1911. More accurate than I'm capable of shooting. I ran 100 rounds through it and had zero Failures to Feed or Fai...Read More Read more about review stating A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!
