Just ran through my first 95 rounds in my stainless steel Mk 4. 1 jam, could have been a fussy magazine (snap caps jammed using it too) but rear scope fell off at 95 so did not get thru 100 rounds. Nice tack driver, you might want to tighten sights before 1st trip to range. I would definitely recommend you pick one up.

I have added the red dot viper, the victory trigger and a compensator.. This pistol is VERY accurate. I hav cycled through thousands of rounds and only had one jam and one dud round.. I have been using the champion federals and look forward to shooting this gun. Ruger has done good on this one. Wish I had of bought this one first. Bought an ISSC M22 and that was a huge mistake..

I got the mark 4 22/45 last year. I love the take down feature. Shoots accurate. Feels fine. 2 cons: 1) trigger needs an upgrade. Factory brownkng buckmark is way better. I will get a volquartsen upgrade eventually. 2) jamming. James frequently with hollow points. Not so frequently with solid or copper bullets. Stove pipes once in a while. Failed to eject once in a while. Used 6 different types of ammo. Still looking for the most consistent cycling ammo.

You cannot go wrong with this Ruger for a first handgun ! The 22 LR is a great starter and inexpensive to shoot ! A great way to learn the basics and the Ruger Mark IV is very reliable !

I had a Ruger Mark II since the 1980s. It was always a great shooter but had three things I didn't like about it. 1. The magazine release was located at the base of the grip and was difficult to use. 2. Field stripping it required a vise, wooden dowel and a hammer, every time. 3. Reassembling it after cleaning was a nightmare. Ruger corrected all 3 of those issues with the Mark IV. The magazine release is behind the trigger, where it should be. It field strips with the push of a button and it goes back together, just as easily. One of my best recent decisions was to get rid of the Mark II and buy the Mark IV. It is very reliable, extremely accurate, and a lot of fun to shoot.

Recently attended a rimfire pistol competition at the sportsmans club I belong to and immediately noticed almost all the shooters were using Ruger Mark series pistols. By the time the match was over I had decided to purchase a .22 LR pistol and enter the clubs next competition and also use the pistol for some small game hunting as well. I had personal experience with the Ruger Mark series pistols years ago when the dept. that I worked for issued them to us to dispatch deer and raccoons and such ... Read more

I was one of the first to purchase the new Ruger Mark IV Target model pistols. I received a safety recall from Ruger stating they wanted to replace the safety mechanism. I had only taken the pistol to the range two times but was amazed at how accurate it shoots. It loves CCI standard velocity .22 LR (which I have plenty of). It's so easy to disassemble and reassemble compared to any other pistol I have ever owned. Ruger made good on replacing the safety mechanism and I had my revolver back withi... Read more

I've owned this gun for a few months now, and its quickly become a favorite. With the stainless steel construction it is not light, but this works to its advantage as a target pistol. The already tame recoil of the .22 lr is barely felt. Its also a very accurate pistol, with my best groups coming from this gun, but I would be considered an amateur. One thing this pistol came in handy for though was instructing a new shooter to pistols. But that characteristic is not limited to this gun. I recommend this pistol to anyone interested in some solid plinking or target shooting.

This pistol is a joy to shoot.--very accurate and super easy to break down and clean.--the only negative is the weight.

Great gun, typical ruger, well made. This firearm needed the trigger lightened To bring out its true potential.

Ruger MK series have always been accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot. The MK IV’s follow the same path, and the simple one button break down is a breeze. Note the stainless steel Target weighs about a half a pound heavier than the blued version. Seamless purchase from GrabaGun!

My "new gun" arrived dirty. I always field strip my new guns and lube where necessary before taking it out to the range. This gun came to my local store and arrived dirty. They could have at least run a patch through the barrel before sending it to my local store for pickup. This is a great gun, however.

Nicely built, beautiful workmanship and engineered. Its so easy to disassemble and clean. I have a Mark III but now the MarkIV is my favorite.

Rugged but still sleek and stylish. First time for me with an adjustable rear sight. Looks a lot like a Pre-Woodsman Colt I once owned and shoots just as well.
