Well, it is a big deal when you have a fully machined steel frame 1911 in three configurations, with a carry optics option or a match option, that comes priced similar to the “big name” guy’s basic model. So, before you “buy a name” and pay too much, take a look at the EAA/Girsan 1911 line up and don’t forget, they have a limited lifetime warranty.

1 year agoI have had a few 1911's, but this is my first in 9mm. Trigger is excellent, reset is crazy short (but that's to be expected with a 1911). Fit and finish are on point, sites are nice. Put 100rds through it with only one failure to eject (I blame the ammo). The ambi safety is a nice feature, but it needs a little breaking in to operate smoothly. If it included more than one magazine I'd give it 5 stars. IMO a 9mm 1911 is kind of a novelty. Heavy as a brick, only holds 9 rounds, big frame, not something you're going to carry around everyday, so I'm glad EAA built one at a friendly price point.

1 year agoSo far so good!! Having one small problem with it, when you charge a round in it sometimes, it will pick up the next round and make it loose. You have to eject the mag and the loose round will fall out. It will have one chambered and ready.

1 year agoWanted an inexpensive option, To give to one of my sons, and decided to keep it! Its not near the QUALITY of my Dan Wessons, but honestly, the fit is better than average. Over 200 rounds, not a single failure. Woyld have given 5 stars but caught hell trying to reassemble it the first time.

1 year agoThe gun is good no rattling is a tight fit but if u are planning to make upgrade to the gun the sight and extractor are a size that in not mil spec so u have trouble finding does . Good shooting gun no problem yet perfect first 1911 or if u are looking to try something different is a good buy .if u have 1911 already and looking for another one is no for u .is not bad but I got 1911 and it was better spent more money on a trp operator and is ready to go from day one

1 year agoFirst off, the grips are actually much nicer than you see in the stock photo. I've put about 200 rounds down range so far with 100 rounds being various types of hollow points and haven't had a failure yet. It's very soft shooting although the sights aren't quite on target so I'm not sure if I will change out the rear sight for an adjustable one yet. Really liking my purchase so far.

1 year agoThis gun was exactly what I expected. A solid Turkish clone that needed some love to get it running smooth. Trigger pull started at 8+ lb. and was spongy. Mags were sticking in the mag well. I replaced the sear spring with a Nowlins match (fixed the mag issue too) and a mainspring with a wolf 17lb 1911 spring. Trigger is now 3.5 lb and very crisp. It takes Colt and Mecgar 9mm 10 round mags smoothly now. Also chamber is tight at first so expect to run brass. It doesn’t like steel cased cheap

1 year agoFit and finish not quite as fine as a Kimber. Mechanics (Slide to frame fit, trigger, parts fit, feeding ramp on barrel, etc.) a little better than a Kimber. My opinion Better than a Kimber for a lot less money.

1 year agoNice weapon, only have about 500 rounds through it, but so far has performed flawlessly. Great sights, trigger not bad, more accurate than expected. Great value.

1 year agoNot a terrible firearm. Little on the heavy side . A little thick . Shoots really well and pretty darn accurate for entry level 1911. It has all the cool features just not as good as a top dollar 1911. Your not paying top dollar either. Just wish it would include 2 magazines as well. . This is my first 1911 so I'm happy with it so far haven't had any feed issues or misfires yet time will tell i guess
