The Beretta M9A1 is an evolved form of Beretta’s famous M9 pistol. Using the M9 as inspiration, the M9A1 was developed to meet the needs of the U.S. Marine Corps. The M9A1 incorporates the reliability and performance of the M9 while adding features such as a Picatinny rail, front and back strap checkering, a flared magazine well, and PVD coated and sand resistant magazine.
This model is California compliant and ships with a limited 10 round magazine.

1 year agoReasonably priced at grabagun store. an old reliable defense weapon. Very good for target shooting as well. like it alot.

1 year agoA beautiful gun with classic lines. Very accurate and fun to shoot. I like the controls and the weight. It is a soft shooting gun. I can see where someone with smaller hands might find it awkward though. I did add G10 grips that were more to my taste but the quality, fit and finish are first class.

1 year agoAfter waiting 2 years for this model to become available I can't really give an opinion as the gun is back with the manufacturer without a shot being fired. While familiarizing myself with the firearm I noticed that the slide release spring was not installed properly. It is supposed to retain the trigger pin but was slightly visible behind rather than in front of it allowing the trigger pin to slide out of the frame. Fortunately I found this within the 30 days Sportsman's allows to

1 year agoI can't properly review this because I live in California. I bought this almost a month ago and can't do paperwork until the 30 days are up from my previous purchase and then wait another 10 days to pick it up. Thanks California, Gavin and Xavier for the kindness to all lawful gun owners.

1 year agoI love the ease of use of this gun. There are no crazy safety features I have to worry about. It feels really comfortable in my hand, it’s a big gun but doesn’t feel big.

1 year agoJust an amazing firearm. I finally bought mine after eyeing it for a long time, paired it with a dot ready slide. Good to go.

1 year agoShot these for many years in the military. Reliable, accurate, and easy to clean. Not sure if Beretta still makes the M9A1 since they now produce M9A3, M9A4. Has a 19 (2019) serial number. Unlike some handguns (like SIG Sauer) the only CA feature seems to be the included locking mechanism and 10-round rather than 15- or 18-round mags. First one had a defective takedown lever but SW took it back and ordered another one which is flawless. Sand resistant magazines are real smooth!

1 year agoIf you’re looking into any beretta this is the one. Waited half a year for this to go back in stock and I don’t regret waiting. Absolutely love this well built gun.
