The Tavor 7 is the next evolutionary step in the Tavor bullpup family. Based on requests from military and civilian customers alike, the Tavor 7 is IWI’s introduction into the 7.62 x 51 bullpup rifle offering. The Tavor carries the usual reliability expected of all IWI products with some increased ergonomic features. This includes the ability to lock the charging handle without the use of the bolt catch. It also maintains the M4 type ambidextrous magazine release system and 45 degree ambidextrous safety. The Tavor 7 is a fully ambidextrous platform on which the ejection side and the charging handle can be switched quickly and easily from side to side by the user. The ambidextrous features include safety lever, magazine release, and bolt catch similar to the X95. The IWI Tavor 7 also includes an M-LOK fore-end as well as MIL-STD 1913 picatinny rails at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions, to allow the use of multiple devices and accessories. The rifle’s body is built from high-strength impact-modified polymer, and has a hammer-forged, chrome lined barrel for enhanced accuracy and life cycle.
Features:
Short stroke gas piston with a 4-position gas regulator, including an off position – a unique feature designed for special operation needs
A rotating bolt system that ensures maximum safety for the user and a pistol grip that can be changed or modified
Rear center of gravity
Metal parts treated for corrosion resistance
2-position 45 degree safety
Ambidextrous configuration
No special tools required for fieldstripping

1 year agoSo, this is my first FORAY into the bullpup world. They always seemed a bit gimmick to me, but here we are. First, this Weapon takes some getting used to. Hand placement, shouldering, controls and mag CHanges…. All very different and you’ll need to train past all of your AR habits. It takes a minute but, if you’re patient and put in the time, this thing reveals itself and it is a beast. It is very well built, manages recoil efficiently, is excepTionally compact and was built to add/subtract a … Read More

1 year agoBluntly Speaking. This is one of the best guns I've EVER owned. The trigger is very crisp, for a bullpup. The Recoil is super manageable for a meaty round like a .308 And the weight isn't really an issue because of the design. Its easy to dress down and Ive only had maybe 2 jams after a thousand rounds. One thing is it VERY loud. I highly recommend a can for this gun to mitigate the noise. I use this as my primary hunting rifle and ive never missed a shot with it.

1 year agoThe IWI Tavor 7 is a very nice weapon, I enjoy mine very much. I don't think that I have ever had an IMI or IWI firearm that I didn't like. All have been of good quality and performed well.

1 year agoI was nervous for two reasons, the first is that I haven't spent that kind of money on a firearm before. And two, I haven't bought one online. To keep it short, it all worked out fine, I would do it again.

1 year agoIt shoots like butter and is well-made. I added a Romeo and Juliet combo from Sig Sauer for the optics and they work great with it. The trigger pull is crisp and the kick is much lighter than any other 7.62 I've shot in the past. I would recommend this gun to anyone that wants a high-quality firearm.

1 year agoIt had a bit of a break in period and needed a fresh layer of oil to be able to effectively 'slap' the charging handle. Before that the rounds would lock into the firing chamber while dry cycling and I had to manually pull the mag out and jimmy the round out. I don't think this was a manufactured error whatsoever, I'm pretty sure it was just t...Read More Read more about review stating First rifle
