The Beretta 92FS has been setting the standards for best military, police and tactical pistol for over a quarter-century.
The reason is that it was designed–and has kept evolving–to be and remain the most accurate, durable and reliable semiauto handgun on the market. Easy to use, absolutely safe and delivering impressive firepower, it remains the sidearm of the US military and of allied forces the world over, as well as of countless police and law-enforcement agencies.
The 92FS is a double/single-action semiauto pistol that employs an open-slide, short-recoil delayed locking-block system, which yields a faster cycle time and delivers exceptional accuracy and reliability. In particular, the open-slide design practically eliminates “stove-piping” and helps flawless cycling and feeding even after thousands and thousands of rounds.
Regardless of the wonderful reputation, it may have, the true test for a tactical pistol’s worth is at the shooting range. The 92FS consistently bests the US military requirement of a 10-shot group of 3” or less at 50 meters (just short of 55 yards). While this type of match-grade accuracy is impressive, it is no magic. At Beretta, we know that absolutely precise tolerances keep performance consistent shot after shot—which not only gives the 92FS its extraordinary accuracy, but it makes all factory parts interchangeable within the same model. Couple this to the ability to reliably feed every variety of commercial ammunition, and it is easy to understand why the 92FS remains the best pistol in its class.
This pistol offers a variety of tactical features that make it equally safe, easy to use and dependable in the holster of military personnel as well as for home or personal defense. Its reversible magazine release lets you use either hand for tactical magazine changes, while its ambidextrous safety-decocker makes it flexible for right- or left-handed persons or for shooters trying out different gripping or shooting styles. Its Bruniton finish is highly resistant to sweat and corrosion, and after shooting, a tool-free disassembly latch makes it a snap to take the pistol apart for cleaning. These and countless other useful features make the 92FS the choice of military and police professionals all over the world, as well as individuals wanting the absolute best for sport or self-protection.

1 year agoThe gun itself is perfect. One of the included magazines cant be loaded/is broken - but since its a $20 fix i dont see it as a deal breaker. Solid gun and had it in hand in 2 business days.

1 year agoExcellent gun and fires so Easily. With the longer barrel it has lIttle to kick when Firing and has a tight SHOT GROUP. It Feels similar to firing a full sized, 5” BARREL 1911. Highly recommend The Beretta. Glad it came with a second magazine, but will certainly be buying more.

1 year agoWhat a beauty! as most have reviewed this is an awsome firearm. changed the mag release to the right for a lefty ;) tricky little operation but manageable. Installed the magwell kit w/2 extensions and bought the mecgar 18rd mags but it wouldn't seat the magazine fully to rack a round in the chamber. put the original parts back in, will troubleshoot later. Once again a great firearm.

1 year agoBeretta 92FS-Made in Tenn. precision made-already put 1000 rounds through with no miss fires. You have to get used to the weight-it has some heft-but stays on target. Quality and price make this an attractive purchase.

1 year agoThis is a great handgun to my collection. Feels kind of old schoolish but that’s okay. Still as good as it was back in the day and right now alongside my Glock 17. Can’t wait to get a hold of the beretta 92fs inox. I had fired this gun during my navy days and it still is a great handgun to this day.

1 year agoI carried a Beretta 92FS for several years and practiced once or twice a month at the local indoor range. I usually fired 50-100 rounds per session--depending upon how many other pistols I also practiced firing. I fired more than 5000 rounds with this weapon and never had a misfire or other malfunction

1 year agoGreat pistol. Just is difficult for some to feel comfortable due to grip girth. Grip options can help like VZ thin grips but there's only so far one can go. The Vertec style ( think Colt 45 ) is helpful but I don't find it all that ergonomic. So; I say to stick with old style and replace the grip. Options are out there. Thin will help for mos...Read More Read more about review stating Beretta 92 FS

1 year agoDuring 32 years of Army service, I have fired countless M9's. 13 years after retirement, I took my 92FS to the range the day after it arrived. Shooting at an Army M9 target at 25 meters, I scored 235 out of 250. My fave is still my 1911, but this is a very close second.

1 year agoThis pistol is so sweet, for a used gun it looks new, functions perfectly, eats Turkish 9mm for lunch, we ran out of ammo, three boxes, three of us took turns shooting it, no issues whatsoever, what are you waiting for…get one!! Guns.com ROCKS!!!

1 year agoI haven’t fired it yet but it looks good I think; did a quick check and it was smooth. I will try to disassemble it and update my feedback when I can. However, I noticed that the other side of the gun finish is already fading; you can see the finish is gone when looking closely on few corners/edges of the gun. Why is that? Big deal? This...Read More Read more about review stating Good; smooth; but finish seems fading or off already for a new gun

1 year agoIt’s a great firearm but the pictures are misleading. The firearm is made in USA and the mags are Italian.

1 year agoThe best gun I own and it’s not even a close contest. Solid, accurate, reliable, and looks fantastic. I don’t know the background on US vs Italian made. Mine was made in Italy, and I thought all 92FS are. The M9 is US made and looks very similar. The Italian version is definitely better made. And for the folks from California, there is a compliant version that comes with 2 10-round magazines.
