For the price, I was a bit dissapointed with the fit and finish. Lots of wood burs on the stock near where the oiler and sling attatches. Additionally, the upper hand guard was not machined properly , and the barrel band only makes tight contact with one side, thus skewing the guard and making a rough joint where it meets the forend. Used for the first time several days ago. Great gun, tight shot group and accurate. Added a Bushnell red dot scope yesterday and had great results at the range. Lot's of fun, light weight and easy to maintain.

Was the perfect alternative for putting in my Gunger AR stock for 10/22's. Being the lesser expensive of the 10/22's and having no front sight lent itself perfectly for "Tacticalizing" a plinker and giving it that AR look and feel. Not having it front sight is perfect for my next phase, I'm threading the barrel end and adding an over the barrel style slip on faux silencer that is going to round out it's look perfectly. I will buy this Ruger again if I have need of another project gun or

The rifle is wonderful. Pleasure to handle and shoot. I have only one negative comment without even taking a star because it wasn’t a surprise for me. Here goes. This model comes with no iron sights installed and with factory installed Weaver rail. That means that purchaser will be installing sights or scopes. It goes without saying that Picatinny is the best and most versatile standard. That what the rifle should have. Of course i removed the rail and put Picatinny in its place before mounting
