1 year agoLike reacquainting with an ol' buddy. The AR15/M16 have their place, but I'm ol' school. Tho lugging around the extra weight in tropical climates would get old. Springfield made delivery on their 3 free mags quickly, too. Lock &load.

1 year agoBought especially for the trigger and upgraded sights which help me the most. The M1A sort of speaks for itself, its been around a long time. Trigger is a great 2-stage, function is flawless, and with ball ammo and my poor eyesight I still manage solid hits (about 2-3 MOA ish --its me, until I scope it my eyesight is pretty nasty). With SA Gear up it was a steal!

1 year agoM1A is a rock solid shooter with excellent iron that will make you want a scope just so you can see how accurate you really are out to 150 yards. The match trigger is perfect for me with a crisp "surprise me" break which has eliminated my tendency to flinch and pull with a sloppier trigger. Pricey yes but an absolute solid comfortable shooter (I do wish the flash diffuser was a bit shorter) with no need for adjustable stocks and other ARish accessorizing for pretty. I would love to have one in every length and setup available but hey one is enough and well worth saving up for!

1 year agoDon’t let modernity fool you, the M1A withstands the test of time in that it’s hand crafted, simple and effective. They just don’t make too many today the way they do here. It’s worth the premium if you’re not over infatuated with only having AR platforms.
