Rugged reliability with a non-glare matte finish on the barrel and receiver that won’t cause birds to flare. The durable composite stock and forearm are up to tough conditions. The hard working SXP action fires all factory 3 inches steel, tungsten, bismuth and lead loads through a chrome plated .742 inches back-bored barrel with Invector-Plus chokes, ensuring optimum patterns. Black synthetic stock with textured gripping surfaces, back-bored barrel, Invector-Plus choke system, hard chrome-plated chamber and bore, black chrome bolt.
Features:
- Stocks are profiled for an ideal fit
- The advanced, high-strength alloy receiver is much lighter than steel
- The rugged rotary bolt design engages the barrel extension instead of the top of the receiver
- The inflex technology recoil pad utilizes directional deflection and a soft durometer for maximum comfort
- Convenient push button safety
- Faster pump-action, inertia assists you as you pump the forearm rearward to load for the next shot
- Most Super X pump hunting models are fitted with the Invector-Plus interchangeable choke system, it allows you to change choke constriction to the demands of the game being hunted or your shooting situation
- Synthetic stock with textured gripping surfaces gives your hands a sure, non-slip grip and the non-glare matte black finish won’t spook wary game
- Back bored technology provides optimum shot patterns that are dense and even
- Invector-plus choke tube system offers consistent patterns to match your game and situation
- Hard chrome-plated chamber and bore make these surfaces highly resistant to wear and corrosion
- Black chrome protection on the bolt and other components lasts longer than traditional bluing
- Brass front sight bead offers a fast, natural sight picture
- 3-shot adaptor with speed-plug system is easily removed without tools
- Rotary bolt with four massive lugs provides strength and solid lockup
- Drop-out trigger group allows for easy cleaning
- Cross bolt safety is easily operated, even with gloves
- Inflex technology recoil pad directs felt recoil down and away from your cheek to reduce flinch and fatigue

1 year agoI bought the 28" barrel 3 1/2" and i love it. Takes a bit of time to get used to the rail sights. Once you are used to it, the butt pad takes the recoil well and the way its designed its quick to reload for the follow up shot as well as it pulls away from your face when shooting, unlike the 870 or 500. I like it so much i also ended up buying the defender version for home defense and grouse. You cant really customize them much but im not into that anyways. Its a solid well built shotgun

1 year agoI bought this as my first firearm and that was a very good choice. It is accurate and light, and fits perfectly.

1 year agoBought it a couple weeks ago. Was happy until decided to clean and oil after test shooting. Can't unscrew a nut that holds forearm together with slide arm extention tube. I assume there is a rusty thread.

1 year agoThis gun is garbage. My friend recently got this as his first gun and it’s had no more than 20 rounds through it, it jams almost every other shot and requires the barrel to be taken off and the gun to be broken down fully just to eject the shell. Most recently today he took it on his first duck hunt and on his second shot it jammed, when he disassembled it to clear it the gun spat out the internal components sending the firing pin into the water. He now has no functioning gun for the season and I doubt Winchester will be of any help

1 year agoBought the 3" chambered version. Great to walk through the bush with. The pump has to be operated with some authority to eject shells, which is the reason for a 4 out of 5 star review. I can't feel the recoil when shooting upland game with 2 3/4 loads. I'd buy again.

1 year agoFor what it is ..it is good just have to break down shot gun to put it in ..which for me got annoying. In the end ..got something much longer ..53’ case which is nice for storage in the house ..jus not as nice for putting in car for trap shooting. So depends on you needs ..but for the pice ..definitely worth the cost!

1 year agoPicked this Winchester up just before the New Year, it was on sale and had a $20 rebate. It was supposed to be my backup / buddy gun but it shot so well it will be in the regular rotation of shotguns seeing range time. Recoil is virtually non-existent using Federal 1 1/8oz 2.75" #8 shot. Took it out with no patterning and she was dead on with a Browning invector+ modified choke at the 16yd line. 3 rounds and shot 20/22/20 with an out of the box gun (windy day). Very happy with the fit and finish.

1 year agoWent bird hunting with friends and the very FIRST shot (ever), it completely jammed up. I mean everything. It wouldn’t cycle, wouldn’t eject the round, safety wouldn’t move, trigger wouldn’t move, nothing. Thank goodness we had extra shotguns so the trip wasn’t completely ruined. Cabelas sent it out for repair and a month later I got it back. No explanation what was wrong with it and what was repaired. Be cautious if thinking about getting one. Went back and bought a Benelli, night and day difference.

1 year agoSo I've purchase three firearm's from Cabela's in Winnipeg in the last two years & all three went back for warranty repair. Maverick 88 home defense sent back for whole new trigger , waited close to a year to get it back , works great now! GSG 15 sent back , gun jams stove pipes 110 mag drum broke first time out who knows when I'll see it again back from warranty , Winchester sxp black shadow right out of the box miss fires , fail to eject absolute crap , sent it away for warranty. At least I have one firearm to use maverick 88 shoots anything I put through it, now I hope the gsg & Winchester come back working the same

1 year agoBought this shotgun for myself after Christmas and it had proven to be reliable for me, I’ve used it for rabbit hunting and now for snow geese hunting and is holding up really good. I’ve had some jams but it was mostly the shot shell not actually being 3 inches long. My gun is chambered in 3 inch at 12 gauge. Would recommend this gun most definitely if you are gonna use it for multi use.

1 year agoI am a first-time gun-owner. Just took this to the range and really enjoyed using it. Very easy to use. Nothing fancy, but seems like a dependable firearm that is well-suited to newer shooters. Looking forward to using this for clay shooting.

1 year agoSimple improved design. My first shotgun was a ranger in 20 ga. It was a robust design that refused to fail no matter what I did to it. My only gripe was the need for a screwdriver to fully disassemble vs the Remington 870 that only required fingers and a nail. This new design remedied that and like the Remington only needs a small nail or something similar to fully disassemble. The gun is just as sturdy as the old design and no doubt will be passes on to my kids.

1 year agoThis gun shoots 2 3/4” fine. When shooting 3” be prepared to use excessive force to get the empty ejected.

1 year agoIve had the sxp for 2 years now and have put at least 400 rounds through and it functions just as well as the first time I shot it. Usually use for sporting clays but have taken it hunting a few times as well.

1 year agoI have owned one of these for a few years now and I love it. It's fast dependable and well built. I have friends and family that request to use this gun when they come to bird hunt with me. Great gun at a great price.

1 year agoBought one brand new and it doesn't work. Brought it to local gunsmith and he sent it back to winchester and they said it will be 6-8 weeks until it gets sent back. Waste of money. Now ill have to miss spring turkey season.First and only winchester rifle I'll buy

1 year agoHave the 20 gauge version with 26" barrel. Went clay shooting and never have I ever broken so many. Fast shooting, well balanced, feels solid. Get used to the recoil jacking the bolt back partway and I believe it is the fastest pump out there.
