The most tested and trusted personal defense weapon in history, the 92FS, designated M9 by the U.S. Military, not only meets or exceeds all U.S. Military testing guidelines, it totally rewrites them.
The 92 series of semiautomatic pistols operates on a short recoil, delayed blowback system, which yields faster cycle times, exceptional accuracy, and greater reliability. Double/Single action provides a very safe and time proven design. High-capacity steel magazines are durable and drop-free when the magazine button is depressed, even when empty. Chrome-lined barrels provide extreme corrosion resistance, as well as ease of cleaning. Barrels also feature a deeply recessed combat muzzle crown to protect the rifling.
Features:
• Open Slide Design: Open top slide virtually eliminates jamming and stove piping. Allows the user to load and chamber one cartridge at a time should the magazine be lost or damaged.
• Disassembly Latch: Simplifies field stripping for maintenance by allowing quick and easy disassembly. It stays on the gun, preventing accidental dropping and loss.
• Visible Automatic Firing Pin Block: The front part of the firing pin is blocked from any forward movement until the trigger is pulled completely back. The block is located rearward, far away from the fouling and debris of the breech face. Since the block is visible, the user may ascertain its proper operation at any time. Even if the pistol falls and strikes the ground muzzle down, the firing pin will not strike the primer.
• Rear Sight Profile: The rear sight is designed to provide a front projection so that in an emergency, the user may retract the slide single-handedly by pushing the rear sight against the edge of a table, door, etc.
• External Hammer Design: A traditional feature of Beretta pistols, this design provides the energy to the firing pin, virtually eliminating the possibility of misfires due to light primer. Also provides an immediate visual and tactile indicator as to the cocked/uncocked status of the pistol.
• No Glare Finish: Berettas exclusive Bruniton™ non-reflective black coating is a superior corrosion and wear resistant finish.
• Light Aluminum Frame: Each pistol features a lightweight, forged frame made from extremely strong aircraft-quality aluminum alloy.
• Reversible Magazine Release: Positioned next to the trigger guard for either right or left-handed shooters, allowing rapid reloading. Magazine drops clear when released.
• Unique Ultra Safe Design: The ambidextrous safety lever, easily accessible by the thumb of a right or left handed shooter, is spring loaded so it’s either positively on or off. The safety lever also functions as the pistols decocking lever. When pushed down, the rear part of the firing pin (striker) is rotated out of alignment with the front part of the firing pin. Additional hammer drop catch (half-cock notch prevents striking of the firing pin unit) in the remote chance of unintentional hammer drop.
• High-Capacity Magazines: The 92 family magazines are interchangeable within caliber, and range in capacity from 10 to 20 rounds in 9mm. 92 FS.
• Chamber-loaded Indicator: When a round is chambered, the extractor protrudes slightly to show a red indicator. In the dark, the user can feel the protruding extractor.

2 years agoAbsolute perfection in every way! Built like a tank, a breeze to clean, and shoots like a dream! I entered the next level of handgun ownership when I bought this beauty. The 92's lines are timeless and breathtaking. The Sportsman's crew at the Thornton (Colorado) store are tops, to boot! What are you waiting for? Be like John McClaine! Yippee Ki Yay!!!

1 year agoVery Good defense gun, the right weight, and the cost were on the money. I put night sights on and gave them to a family member who needed it.

1 year agoI used this style of gun while I was in. Mostly just guard duty and target practice but I always liked this gun and why I have one in my collection. The gun is reliable but just like any gun it needs to be cleaned and there is the double action of a revolver on the first pull but I don't see this as a draw back. But for a gun design that is well over 35 years old I love it. It works and I find this system very reliable and a great gun to have for defense.

1 year agoHad one of these in stainless that I carried daily for years without a single failure to function. Dead on accurate and easy to maintain. Since the pistol is WAY overbuilt for a 9mm I certainly don't see any way someone could wear this pistol out. Might take advantage of this GREAT PRICE with free shipping and get my first 92FS in blue or bruniton or whatever the finish is called now. Palmetto is letting people steal this gun at this price with free shipping that is for sure!!

1 year agoI received this gun yesterday it is amazing my new favorite side arm by far. The only issue I have is there is a small scratch on the frame just bellow the serial number. This doesn't bother me as it will be a carry gun any way but either way I'm sure palmeto would have corrected the issue had I decided to send it back. Over all I am extremely happy with the product and for the price I got it at you can't go wrong.

1 year agoI have been looking for a 92 to add to my collection ever since I started buying guns but could never pull the trigger for a new one in the 600 dollar range. I couldn't say no to a price this low and am extremely happy with my purchase. Palmetto is a go-to for great deals. For the buyer: the trigger slide safety guide rod and the mag release are all made with polymer parts instead of steel. You can buy replacement steel parts to remedy this for around 75 if you want that old school feel but the gun works flawlessly with its polymer parts. Great buy

1 year agoThis gun took 8 days to get to my FFL after ordering it. I received a made in Italy 92fs. The picture advertised by palmetto is that of an M9 not of a 92FS. Very nice gun came with two magazines very accurate. Thank you PSA for offering it for $450. Editor's Note: The images have been updated to reflect the correct model.

1 year agoI've been looking at the 92FS for some time and when PSA offered it at this price it was time to pull the trigger on one. The finish was pristine and it being an Italian build added to my liking! Grab one before their all gone.

1 year agoI purchased this weapon for sentimental reasons. I'm glad I did. It has performed flawlessly. My wife even enjoys shooting it. It's too big to carry. However, if you are looking for a reliable and comfortable weapon, look no further.

1 year agoThis is a tried and true gun...Beretta 92--what more could be said? Awesome reliability (never had a jam). Great accuracy, eats any ammo. My favorite over all my other pistols. Hint...change the hammer spring to a Beretta "D" spring. 5 bucks and 5 min. to put it in, no special tools needed. Makes the slide and trigger softer.

1 year agoAwesome firearm... And the best price around.... Just keepnin mind that Palmetto does keep 1 magazine to make it cheaper, meaning that you may find it 30$ more in a different site but with 3 mags instead of 2 that comes if purchased here.. so same deal...

1 year agoThis thing is awesome and the price was too. If you've ever heard the 92FS or M9 wasn't reliable, the person that said it didn't know what they were talking about or believed someone else that didn't know what they were talking about.

1 year agoA truly beautiful piece of craftsmanship and a delight to shoot , I upgraded to adjustable sights which helped accuracy . Never had any problems after more than 1000rds , lots of options to add on if desired .

1 year agobought as a range pistol because 9mm NATO rounds are cheap. Nearly identical to M9, my service pistol throughout my 21-year military career. Large, but incredibly manageable for high accuracy at distance. Had to keep moving target further down range; predictable, tight groups at 50-yds. Would highly recommend as a home defense, range, or service pistol for anyone. Negligible recoil, easy to break down for cleaning, high capacity, and affordable ammunition - and from a manufacturer with nearly 500 years in the industry!

1 year agoSadly disappointed. While the delivery time was acceptable during the COVID crisis, the finish on the left portion of the lower barrel was not. The machining process left rough exposed steel where the nitride wouldn’t adhere. The magazine release is stiff as F**** and requires a complete change of grip. Perhaps this was a early morning Monday assembly or maybe a late Friday, either way, it’s your bad Beretta. I’m returning without a round fired and will try one more time.

1 year agoFlawless Finnish and smooth as butter operation. This particular gun is made in Italy and comes with the plastic trigger and comes with the original 15 round blued magazines. Comes in a little cheap plastic box but the firearm is world class in every respect. Smoothest running precision bullet delivery device in my safe. Beats all other premium guys in quality and accuracy.

1 year agoAmazing gun. Shot really low which I found out is purposely designed to. Adjustable rear sight covers the hammer so I filed the dovetail of the rear sight and raised it .020. Shoots perfect now at 15 yards. Not one single failure in 2,000 rounds. Don't know why it's turning my pictures sideways, sorry!
