The Raptor Youth is a 3” chamber, gas operated, semi-automatic shotgun that allows you to shoot light target loads to heavy waterfowl loads. Removable choke system that uses Beretta Mobile threads includes three choke tubes (IC, M, F), choke box and choke wrench. Highly durable injection molded stock and forearm; stock has zero plane for better feel. The Raptor Youth is finished off with a fiber optic sight, swivel studs and rubber recoil pad that is fitted on a shorter stock. The Raptor Youth Semi-Auto shotgun is backed with a five-year mechanical warranty.
Action: Gas operated semi-automatic. Bolt remains open after last round is fired. If magazine and chamber are both loaded, opening action will result in ejecting shell from chamber but will not cycling new shell from magazine into the chamber. Magazine cut-off is located near trigger guard and must be pushed to eject shell from magazine. This allows shooter to clear chamber but keep magazine loaded.
Safety: The primary safety is located on the backside of the trigger guard. When engaged, the safety is designed to block the trigger, hammer lever and the hammer which makes the firing mechanism immobile.
Magazine: Tubular magazine; bottom loading. Shot plug is included and comes installed. Shot plug is easily removable by unscrewing the magazine cap. Simply pull plug out and replace magazine cap.

1 year agoI had nothing but problems with this gun first time taking it out duck hunting the rod that holds the but stock on stripped out and it wouldn't cycle and it would jam after every shot put through it. It was just a big headache.

1 year agoHaven't fired it much since it's winter time. But, it shoots great. Higher powered target loads are very soft shooting. NO malfunctions as of yet! it has a good recoil pad on it, a good fiber optic site although I do wish it were green instead of red. It's cycled every 1 1/8 ounce and light 1 ounce load I've run through it so far with no problems. Throws the light loads several feet away from you and to the front. It points very well, not very heavy. When I brought it home the very first thing I

1 year agoI bought this with the intention of using it as a skeet and duck/goose gun. it will not cycle lighter loads at all. even after completely tearing it down and really cleaning it (you must do that when you get it), it just won't cycle any of the 1 1/8. that said, it shoots duck rounds all day long. I usually only clean mine at the end of the season so it sees well over a thousand rounds and never jams. for the money, it is my favorite shotgun I've ever bought.

1 year agoI have been wanting a semi-auto for a long time and found this one. I really have enjoyed using it at the range and out duck hunting, and I have had no FTFires or FTFeeds. Yes, do take it down and clean it up before you use it too much because it has some gooey lube in the action. Also, you may want to install a mid-bead on the ramp like I did.
