2 years agoA workhorse. Trigger pull can be heavy but fixed after market. Some top tang safeties are very tight. Recommend checking mechanical operatio. Of both at store before purchasing

2 years agoArrived in beautiful shape. A no nonsense practical shotgun ideal for tactical use with one of the best reliability ratings in the industry. Nice to have as part of a home defense arsenal.

1 year agoSimply can't go wrong with Mossberg 590 in my opinion. I'm not a Remington fan though as quality has dropped severely in recent years. Once you get tear down and reassembly down and with the right lube, it has smooth slick action. Great for home defense or truck gun.

1 year agoGreat feel and look. Smooth action. Bought for home defense. Glad I purchased through Sportsman's Warehouse!

1 year agoThe Mossberg 590 is widely considered to be one of the best home defense weapons on the market. It is reliable, easy to maintain, and there are many after market upgrades available. I cannot say enough positive things about dealing with Sportsman's Warehouse in both purchase and delivery. It arrived in perfect condition and was delivered as promised. I highly recommend both the 590, and Sportsman's Warehouse, for anyone considering a home defense shotgun.

1 year agoWe live out on property, I wanted a home defense shotgun in case two or four legged vermin wander out where they’re not welcome. Mrs approves ????????

1 year agoI've shot Mossberg 500s for decades. Never failed me. This my first 590. Very happy with it. Handy little shotgun. Was hoping for a Retrograde but in these crazy times I was really lucky to score this. Keeping my eyes open.

1 year agoIn terms of home defense, it honestly doesn't get much better. The 590 is an incredibly reliable shotgun, functions well and does exactly as it should. I have not experienced any issues with mine and have taken it out shooting a handful of times. Clean cycling, smooth pumps and always puts a smile on my face. Not much else to say.

1 year agoSportsmans took care of me. Was wanting a home defense shotgun and this was perfect. Looking forward to putting some practice rounds down range.

1 year agoHaven’t had a chance to shoot it yet, but looking forward to it. It’s light, and I think it will be a great home defense gun! Like that it holds 7 shells also.????

1 year ago590 is a well made classic. Process through sportsmans is about as streamlined and easy as you can get in California. Staff was professional and efficient.

1 year agoNice shotgun... light weight, short overall length, 7 shot capacity and available. 590 retrograde would probably have been my first choice, but they never seem to be available.

1 year agoGreat shotgun at a great price! Only gripe is with the Sportsman’s photo of this gun. Photo shows shell tube flush with the end of the barrel. However the shotgun you receive is not. Very minor complaint. Overall very satisfied!

1 year agoFor under $500 this shotgun is a blast to shoot. I've had no mechanical issues in the limited time I've owned/shot it and it is also pretty dang good at hitting clays, even with an 18.5" barrel. If you're clumsy while loading, I'd suggest buying a Mossberg or aftermarket heat guard since they're available and affordable due to how popular the 500/590 series is. An absolutely terrific buy.

1 year agoGreat Shotgun. Replaced the stock with a Hogue 12 inch for a shorter LOP and the Fore end with the Hogue rubber grip. Replaced the Safety with a red aluminum one. Replaced the follower with s steel red follower. Bought the Picatinny rail for optics and a flashlight laser. Fun stuff and great man toy. Oh I forgot it shoots great and straight. I bought the adapter for mini shells and it ate that with no problems. The only drawback is mini shells are hard to find.

1 year agoIt was an Amazing opportunity to find this excellent American Quality Firearm, delivered by “Palmetto State Armory”... IMHO, there’s not much to dislike here. This thing IS A BEAST, PERIOD !! A classic and battle-proven design, that eats & cycles pretty much anything you feed it. If you can find one, don’t hesitate on the purchase.

1 year agoGreat value for the money. Yes, you can buy cheaper pump shotguns, but this one is solid. With a few hundred rounds of mixed rounds, its been 100% so far.

1 year agoMossberg quality and reputation. The 500, 590 and 590A1 are some of the best shotguns ever made. Tried and true.
