The Weatherby Element Synthetic is an inertia driven shotgun, that is tough enough to endure whatever you throw at it. Whether you’re flushing pheasant and partridges, or sitting in the duck blind early waiting on first light. The performance is clean, smooth, and ready for boxes of rounds to be cycled through. With the Griptonite stock, natural fit, and fiber-optic front having a successful hunt is just waiting for the season to arrive.

2 years agoIf id have known that, i wouldnt have bought it. Only a few shells on shelves over 1300fps, every other shell jams

2 years agoJust got it a week ago. Put 175 rounds through it in different sizes and weights and has worked great.

2 years agoI bought Weatherby Element Tungsten in 2021 just before Christmas. I used it mostly for a trap shooting getting 18-19, my son getting 21. We sent 700-600 shots through it. It's been treating me well until about a month ago. I was out for a geese hunting, put shotgun on my shoulder just to realize 10 mins later that bolt handle (little handle that you use to pull the bolt) was missing. I was able to load the shotgun without the handle but it was bothering me. To my surprise I found it next to my truck on the ground. Shotgun was factory assembled, never took it apart. I think it's fair expectation that I wouldn't be loosing parts. I reinstalled it in the bolt, it was firm in. Had hard time to remove it, installed again. to my surprise I lost it again on next hunt, forever. I contacted Weatherby support asking for help, hoping for "no problem, we will send you a new one". Instead, I was presented with cold response "we can't ship gun parts to Canada. Here is the list of dealers in Canada." Exactly one, somewhere in Manitoba that is not responding to me. Sure, it is $50 + shipping but I wouldn't expect that from fairly new shot gun. This very small cost to Weatherby is going to be $70+ expense for me. Again, I am happy with the shotgun but not sure if I am complaining about quality or Weatherby service here. Probably both. Sorry.

1 year agoThe 20 ga I got had to be broken in by firing 3 in high velocity shells through it. After about 100 rounds it shoot great. It is scary accurate when shooting clays.

1 year agoGreat shotgun for the money. Consistent patterns and extremely reliable! Feels good in the hands. Only con is the trigger is a little heavy. Not a big deal for turkey or big game but room for improvement of duck/clay shooting

1 year agoJust picked up my weatherby the other day and boy what can I say; this gun has amazing balance and shoots very smooth. Unlike many inertia guns, this gun seems to shoot light rounds great. The chokes are great but I might still upgrade to a pattern master for waterfowl. Great quality gun. I will stick to weatherby after owning this gun

1 year agoI was looking for a backup 12 gauge to shoot sporting clays. I decided on a Element based on the reviews. My biggest concern was the cycling as I use 1150 fps reloads. I was very skeptical but I picked up the gun 2 days prior to my shoot and was pleasantly surprised that after 100 rounds everything went off perfectly. No problems what so ever. I also liked the fact that it has very few parts to clean which was very simple to do. Overall nice gun it will be my first gun rather than my backup.

1 year agoThis is a good gun for the money. It’s reliable, and easy to maintain. It comes with a wide variety of choke tubes. My only complaint is the trigger. It is heavy and creepy. It breaks anywhere from 6.10 to 8.0 pounds. I wish it broke at 5lbs and came with a hard case, nut hey it’s a gun that can be had on sale for circa $500.

1 year agoPicked up my new Element, it was down to Weatherby or Barretta. Better Ballance more shells, and not gas operated. First semi, used a Winchester model 12 the last 30 years. Pretty happy!!

1 year agoI bought a new Weatherby Element 12/28 SA from a online store and it came fast. I love this shotgun, the quality is very close to the Remmy V3 12 which I own. But I still grab this. The action is great, pull is nice and I like the look with the gray and black. The only problem is that whoever was packing the key into the choke tube case didn’t care because it doesn’t fit so I got a bunch of little plastic pieces fall in my lap while opening, But I don’t use the case so I don’t make a big deal

1 year agoI bought this gun while in the market for a new 12 gauge. I was looking at the high dollar inertia guns and came across this gun and decided to give it a try. We bought my wife a 20ga gas gun from weatherby last year and their customer service and quality was so good I figured I had nothing to lose. I have hunted a full duck season with this gun that included breaking ice, myself and the gun taking a bath in the swamp, and plenty of drops. This gun has never failed to fire even when other guns

1 year agoI was looking for a 20ga for my son. Purchased this gun a whim from Gander Mountain when they were going out of business. I have a friend that has a SA-08 and likes it and said to look into Weatherby. After shooting this could not be happier, handles great, shoots great and all can fire it. Nice looking gun,a little jealous I bought it for my son, but know he has a gun for life. I would definitely buy another for myself.

1 year agoGreat gun, have almost a 1000 rounds through it and is shining flawlessly, just be sure to use gun lube.

1 year agoLove the gun and the way it shoulders and shoots. I now wish that weatherby will make a true sporting shotgun with a colored receiver, colored end cap and colored extended choke tubes. Of course must have extended mag release and bolt handle… One could only hope…..

1 year agoGreat shotgun. Hard to beat for the money. Light enough for my wife, but has enough weight for follow through. Recoil is very modest. Really like the synthetic stock and forearm too.

1 year agoWanted a 20 gauge for pheasant and checkers and spotted a great deal on Sportsman’s Warehouse that I couldn’t pass up. A quick check of reviews made for a great decision. Great gun, light, well made and good looking. Have about 200 rounds through it, mostly shooting clays getting ready for pheasant season with no issues at all. May get the Stevens O/U since the semi quality is so good.

1 year agoThis is my first semi-auto 12 gauge and I love it. Bought it at Scheels and I’m very happy with it. Highly recommend

1 year agoBought weatherby element yesterday at a local gun shop primarily as a slug gun, but also pheasant and duck hunting as well. Sighted in with a couple different brands of slugs. The gun shot both kinds just fine at 50 yards. The element swings nice, good line of sight, smooth action, similar to my SBE2. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

1 year agoThis is a top notch firearm. I have a first generation 20 gauge Benelli. The Weatherby loads way smoother than the Benelli and you can put four in the mag with the plug pulled. It shoots everything and patterns fantastic with the M tube. Put some locrite on the tube, crank it in and throw away the box. You will never sell this gun. Only modification I did was to drill hole in bottom of pistol grip to shorten sling. I do this in all my duck guns. Only thing I don’t like is the cheesy plastic safety button. Works fine but looks cheap. Solid weapon.
