Its box-magazine-fed action makes loading and unloading a snap.

I bought this great rifle a couple weeks ago and had the chance to put 20 rounds through it this past weekend. It performed great. Once sighted in, which took 3 shots, it was on target for the remainder of the day. Even after putting lots of rounds through it In a short amount of time. The wood is solid and looks beautiful, the bolt is nice but you do have to be rough with it. Overall this was a great purchase and I would buy again

Good groupings, accurate, bolt could be a little stiffer but not bad where it is at all. Good hybrid hunting/defense long range rifle. Love mine.

Bought this rifle in .308 at the end of last year's Missouri deer season. Got it shooting 1" at a 100 yds. with 8 rounds. Took it out this season and bagged a nice 6 pointer at about 120 yds. the first day.

I love this gun, it shoots accurate and it goes boom every time you pull the trigger, I bought it in 270 and wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on any deer or hog in front of me

I used this rifle while stationed in Germany. At first it had some accuracy issues. After reading some online reviews and suggestions, it concluded that the barrel heated up easily. After 5 shots, breaking only to reload another round, it's seemed the barrel became extreamly hot. The heat seemed to contribute to a lack of being able to group rounds. To achieve an accurate group I would shoot three rounds and then break for 10 minutes at the range to allow the barrel to cool. Seem like a lot of effort for a $400+ rifle I know. Once I took my break I actually was able to cut holes with three rounds but then I had to wait. Once sighted in, it made an excellent hunting rifle. I took several animals with it. I'm thinking about taking it back as I am facing going back for several more years. It's a good cost efficient rifle if you can live with the effort I experienced sighting it in. I gave three stars because most would not want to wait for a barrel to cool to achieve accuracy if paying over $400. Mine was a 2016 rifle, the new ounces could be better.

I bought this rifle 2 yrs ago. It is very accurate BUT it is one of the roughest made rifles I have ever owned. The steel wasn't even sanded down before putting it together. You can feel how rough it is just by running your hand over the metal.Basically I find that I have never seen a rifle more crudely made. Also the bolt is really loose and sloppy.

I bought this gun 2 months ago in 6.5 creedmore and over classed it with a luepold scope. It’s a tack driver and functions well for an factory gun.American made completely in Texas.

I bought it 1 1/2 years ago for my son. After having a gun smith install a muzzle brake on it, it's my 15 year old's faverate reach out and touch me gun for longer shots.

Was looking for the .308 caliber rifle, and ended up buying this Mossberg Patriot .243 Ga in July 2018, because it was on a promotion. I am a big time gun lover and mostly shoot targets at the shooting range or on BLM Lands. Still was stunned with the design and built quality, when the sales guy at Bass Pro Shop opened the box and handed it to me. Equipped it with Vortex Dimondback 4-12x40mm VMR-1 BDC Tactical Scope. After sighting with Firefield laser bore sighter, took it to the range and hit the 8" gong at 100 yards with the first round (see the dent on the picture). Only once adjusted the scope couple of clicks after that. Amazingly precise toy! Feels light, very easy on recoil, easy to clean and maintain, pleasure to hold it in the hands and shoot it! Don't need anything else nor other caliber, got all I needed! Affordable price for such a nice Rifle! Absolutely love this combination!!!

I bought the Patriot 308 after reading the reviews from many reputable sources and was excited to get one. Having owned two other 308’s I was expecting another great shooting rifle. I took it to the range and tried several different types of ammos and grains and I couldn’t get groups any better than 1 3/4 to 2 1/2. I had a luepold 3x9 on it and it’s just junk. It’s disappointing to see Mossberg make such a low quality product. If you’re looking to get a 308 that’s at true tack driver and won’t break the bank.... get the Ruger American

Been using one of these in 30-06 for years now. Accurate and durable, cant get better value for such a versatile rifle. I enjoy it much more then the Remington 700.

I bought mine 7 years ago at Bass Pro in the 270 combo. Was on a budget and was on sale in my price range under 300.I know cheap price cheap product not in this case.Truth scope trash, rifle excellent buy.I put a Bushnell 3x9 dusk till dawn scope on it and has been true ever since.Have taken down several deer with it and several rounds at range and never an issue.Love the smoothness of bolt and trigger pull comfortable.I use Winchester Extreme Point 130 grain and never an issue. In my opinion Mossberg did it right and for a great price.5 stars on gun, combo scope no good.

I bought this rifle in 30-06 and it has been hands down the worst bolt action rifle I’ve ever used! Took it out of the box and put a vortex optic on top. And used Hornady superformance, and Winchester whitetail hunter In several different grains. And have yet to get get decent accuracy out of this rifle. I tried doing a small stock job to keep it a little more consistent, when I removed the but pad screws the plastic threads came out with the screws. And the removable mag well has already cracked making it a pain at times to get the magazine in without falling out. i bought this for a cheap deer gun I don’t feel comfortable shooting at anything further the 150 yards. Don’t waste your money!

I bought this gun in 7mm Rem Mag in 2017. It was never very accurate but it was acceptable for a while. I didn't expect sub-moa for the price. After a couple years I couldn't shoot a one foot group with it. I emailed Mossberg but they didn't care because the gun only has a two year warranty. After taking the stock off I found out that one of the stock bolt holes has a very thin wall that had broken under the recoil from the magnum caliber. I emailed Mossberg again to show them, they still didn't care.

Works like it should. Shoots submoa right out of the box with factory ammo. I have one in .308 and love it.

Pretty good for a budget rifle. Well worth the $300 I paid for it. I purchased it in .308 Winchester. Put on a DNZ scope mount and a Leupold VX-3i 3.5-10 on it and it shoots pretty well. It is not a submoa rifle but with 150gr Federal blue box lead free rounds (to save the condors) it shoots 1.106" three round groups at 100 yards consistently. The fluted barrel does heat up quickly so no more then three rounds during break in and wait 10 minutes between each group to let it cool down. the bolt is a little sloppy but for the price it is ok. The magazine on it definitely could use improvement as it feels sloppy and cheap since it is plastic. Either way for a hunting rifle it will do as it is needed and put meat on the table. I haven't had any issues with the stock as other people have but I do plan to install a Boyds AT-One aftermarket stock on it soon.

We purchased this in .350 Legend with the intent to hunt deer in Ohio. So far the rifle has been accurate (under 2" groups at 100 yds.) with 5 different loads and sub 1 MOA with the Winchester Deer Season XP 150 gr. ammo. Age ranges from 12 to 70 have appreciated the light recoil and adjustability. It's one shot/one kill so far on Ohio deer.

Ordering the rifle online was very easy, and it came quickly. When i picked it up the employees were friendly and extremely helpful. While the scope was being installed another employee helped me select ammo. This is the second firearm I've purchased from Bas Pro Shop. The first experience was equally satisfying.

Excellent entry level 30-06 of nice quality. Accuracy has proven spot on post bore siting and gun range siting. Highly recommend.
