1 year agoBought this rifle in 6.5 Creedmore and mounted a Bushnell Elite 3500 3-12x40 scope. Bore sighted 2 inches high with 3 shots at 25 yards and then shot at 100 yards. The grouping was fantastic but was 10 inches high. After making the appropriate adjustments I was shooting 3 shot 1 inch groups dead centre. The only question in my mind is why the big difference from 25 yards to 100 yards? Usually there is not that much difference. I was told these 6.5's shoot really flat so I need to try at longer ranges to make sure there is not the same kind of variance. Definately good value for the money especially when on sale for $100.00 off.

1 year agoI got this rifle as a Christmas gift last year, and also ordered a 3-9x50 Vortex scope to go with it. What an awesome shooting system! The Cerakote finish on the rifle’s metal parts is well-applied, beautiful and extremely durable. The black synthetic stock is sturdy and tough as nails. The spiral fluting on the bolt and the straight fluting on the barrel are supposed to reduce weight, and I’m not sure how well that works (it’s not a heavy rifle), but it sure looks good. The synthetic polymer magazine is surprisingly tough and sturdy (although I ordered a second one just in case). No issues with feeding, and the thing is a tack driver at 300 yards. My only quibbles are that the recoil pad could be a bit better (the 30-06 kicks like a horse in a rifle this light and the factory pad isn’t quite up to the job), and I’m not a fan of the Remington-style safety design (but that’s just personal preference). Kudos to Mossberg for a job well done!
