2 years agoThis is an extremely underrated rifle, out the box accurate no hiccups or issues. The frame even though keeps the rifle light, is just too light for my liking. So for me, being the tinker I had an MDT gen2 Chassis and upgraded the rifle after doing some initial breaking in with the original stock. I can say that having the MDT rigid frame makes a world of a difference immensely in that you have a solid none flexing platform really makes this rifle shine. Not trying to get anyone to buy the frame … Read More

2 years agoGreat field gun. I love the fact it uses regular AR-15 magazines. It seems durable and light weight. Looking forward to hunting hogs and coyotes with it.

2 years agoNice handling and easy to maneuver carbine. Mounted a 1-8X 30mm tube scope. Scope takes up minimal space and keeps the carbine trim and easy to point. Tried the supplied PMag and Lancer mags and all function well. It shoots well with supersonic ammo in the 125gr to 150gr range. Very pleased.

2 years agoIt took 7 rounds to sight in and now I can drive nails with this rifle. Beautifully crisp trigger break. If you are looking for a bathing suit beauty with shining wood tones, look elsewhere. If you want a rifle to do the job you ask it to, give strong consideration to this ugly duckling.

2 years agoFor the price, it's a decent gun. Fun to shoot, threaded barrel, pic rail, AR mags and nice trigger. 4 star because the bolt on mine is very stiff...at times very difficult to chamber a round. i have other bolt guns, including another Ruger American, and this bolt is the hardest to work, by far...even after applying oil/lube.

2 years agoThe rifle was great out of the box as far as accuracy and function. Had one tiny scratch on the under side of the barrel. As with the other American rifles i upgraded to a different stock immediately. The action broke in nicely. Overall it is money well spent. If you plan to shoot suppressed, it does it very well.

1 year agoWasn't really sure why I needed to add this to the stable, other than something i could really silence. turns out it is a hoot to shoot and accurate which is a PLEASANT surprise for the PRICE-POINT. Now all the choices in ammo becomes a thing as it shoots a wide range. With subs and a can, no hearing protection needed...

1 year agoLooks great, shoots great. Action needs some break in but we’re working on that. Exactly what I was looking for in this purchase…

1 year agoFirst purchase from Guns.com. Excellent customer service and delivery. After 20 rounds to sight in which had more to do with my novice ability with my Vortex optic than the rifle, was shooting sub MOA 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards and ringing 12, 8 and 5 inch steel plates at 200 yards. Purchased the 223/556 for the compatibility with my AR p-mags B...Read More Read more about review stating Sub MOA out of the box

1 year agoPurchase was quick and easy and it was delivered on time. However, the fit and finish quality of the new rifle was well below what I've been accustomed to from Ruger. I'm now dealing with Ruger customer service to resolve my concerns. Ruger has been helpful and is working with me. Still awaiting a final outcome. If I'd been able to see the rifle i...Read More Read more about review stating Good order processing/delivery but poor rifle quality

1 year agoGuns.com were great with their service when it comes to questions for the product, notify when in stock and help setting up with your most trusted FFL. After shooting this rifle, it feels great. Light weight, balance, handles well and great trigger quality.

1 year agoThank you! I could not be more pleased with my new rifle. Guns.com possessed and shipped my rifle very quickly and it arrived at my local FFL within 3 days of shipping. The rifle was excellent! I will definitely buy from Guns.com again and recommend to my friends and family!

1 year agoI purchased one RAR here, and two elsewhere in different calibers. The one from guns.com had no plastic bag around it, had the bolt installed, and a filthy bore. The other two I purchased were in plastic bags, bolts inside box with lock, and clean bores. I feel like I was sold some Internet Idiot's eval rifle or a return as New.

1 year agoRifle arrived about a week after I ordered it. Brand new and was in excellent shape. Very accurate rifle from 200 to 300 meters. Third firearm I've ordered from guns.com and my experience has been great each time. Awesome gun for plinking.

1 year agoArrived on time shoots better than expected little tight bolt hoping it breaks in but all in all love the gun and performance!

1 year agoI wasn't certain if a 16" barrel would be accurate, but this gun is super accurate. I have hit my targets at 200 yards. That seems to be the limit, but my range is limited to 200 yards. The only negative is Magpul magazines do not work, but the Ruger mags work great.

1 year agoWonderful accuracy, shooting .5 MOA at 100 yards, 4 shots all touching at 100 yards, thrilled. Classic Ruger.

1 year agoVery disappointing: These guns will only fire Military spec primed ammo 40% of the time: it does not have enough firing pin speed to reliably fire Lake City mil-spec primers (such as is currently found in Gorilla Subsonic Ammo) I even went so far as to send the gun back to Ruger and they replace the firing pin assembly, problem persists. Will be looking into replacing the firing pin spring, but this is a super annoying to have to do to a brand new gun that I overpaid for during the shortage.

1 year agoI recently purchased a Ruger 300 Blackout rifle, and overall, I'm quite pleased with it. The rifle itself is impressively lightweight, making it easy to handle and carry. However, the stock that came with the rifle was not up to par, so I decided to upgrade it with an MDT XRS stock. This replacement greatly improved the overall feel and comfort of the rifle, and I'm glad I made the switch. Initially, the bolt was a bit rough, but with some polishing, I managed to achieve a smooth
