1 year agoI have been shooting this rifle in .22LR for over a year now and it's an absolute tack driver! Mine likes Federal Gold Medal Match ammo a bit more than CCI Green Tag, but both will kill a chicken with a head shot at 100 yards if you have the stability and time. I'd love to try the .17 version!

1 year agoI really like the way this firearm looks. The barrel is longer than my other .22lr. accuracy is good (its a .22lr so noting special). Weight is a bit much but with using it on the bench with a bi-pod it's fine. One issue I have is the angle of the magazine. With the rifle having a bull barrel, the magazine is angle more to help the cartridge line up with the chamber. If you are not careful where you mount your strap/bi-pod button, it could interfere with the magazine if you decide to use a 10ct version.

1 year agoThis is my first firearm purchase. I'm Impressed with accuracy but the barrel looks like its rusting already and I have only had it 3 months. My only complaint. I thought it was stainless.

1 year agoBreaking it in. Accuracy is outstanding. I went the length to find a matching silver scope and repainted meticulously a bipot to shinier SS silver. It's not a hunting piece, it's a wow piece, and functionally, a precision hammer. I also added silver rings, of course, an extentended the LOP by about 1/4". I have a lot of Savages, but this one is my fav. She is not as smooth as I'd like her, yet, but the more I shoot her, the better she gets. Looks and function in one - like a Ferrari.
