2 years agoThe bolt is very sticky, hard to open, hard to close. Trigger is crisp and very nice. Safety is okay. Barrel looks very good. Bottom of the bolt is roughly milled and poorly polished, if at all and is chewing up the plastic follower on the magazine. Bolt is loosening up after cycling it over and over, but I’ve never had a rifle that needed to be “broken in” like this. First round wouldn’t feed, had to manually insert or guide in the chamber, rounds after fed and ejected okay. For comparable money, my Savage Axis II is much better quality on the whole out of the box. It’s not fancy, but that was the point, this will be a rifle for kids to use. Just hope I can get good accuracy once optics are installed.

2 years agoAfter picking this rifle up from Brownells for $449.99 The 350 Legend is very accurate! My only complaint is that the bolt was very rough with sharp edges. After spending about two hours polishing the bolt. Then installing the ANARCHY OUTDOORS bolt handle and knob. It functioned 100% better. Trigger was really good. A little on the heavier side that I prefer. I will be installing the timney trigger on it. I'm running the Leopold VX-6HD 2-12x42mm fire dot scope with a Griffin Armament Optimus sup... Read more

2 years agoI used the 350 Legend for deer hunting this past season, 2019, and was impressed the accuracy and ease of this rifle. I used a Vortex 4-12 40 scope with it. I have not made any upgrades to this rifle at this time. This rifle can be a little loud when shooting but I use ear plugs to help minimize the noise even in the field. Not too bad of a recoil for this type of bullet. I shot the Winchester Deer Season XP 350. I managed to take a Doe at 80 yards with one shot through the chest. She went down ... Read more

2 years agoHad to send it back to Ruger due to a serious flaw in the bolt. I'm still waiting for them to return it. If it comes back with a satisfactory repair, I will update this rating accordingly.

2 years agohorrible trouble lousy feeding problem. sent it back to ruger came back not much better jamming every time i tried to feed ammo. using winchester 180 gr. power point. i read the other review i took out 15 springs from the bottom it help a little. when trying to feed a round its cutting the bottom of the head of bullet n jamming. had to file the head a little pointy feeds but have to fight round. starting to grind down the front of the clip its improving but not very happy with the feed on this

1 year agoEven though I gave it a 3 star rating I do love the gun....... after I modified it. I love that its light weight, compact and btw it's very accurate and soft shooting. Out of the box the gun didn't want to cycle ammo hardly at all. It would jam in the feed ramp. After some researching I found that with this gun you need to do several things to make it work properly, that being said its mainly not Rugers fault. First thing to do is take the magazine apart and take about 10 springs from the

1 year agoNice compact rifle. Shoots well, nice groups. Recoil is very light. Trigger is a bit heavy, but crisp. Magazine needs some work. The lip on cartridge hangs up on forward edge of mag. Had to dremmel about 1/16 off. Much better. CA hunter so waiting for lead free ammo. And ammo is very affordable.

1 year agoThe rifle is very well made my only real issue was the picatinny rail. It made the scope stand to far from the barrel . Tried the lowest mounts available and was disappointed went with weaver bases and rings now it’s a lot better. Too bad I had to purchase different mounts.

1 year agoGreat gun, shoots accurately, easy recoil, smooth bolt action. The bolt was a little stiff at first, it has smoothed out, since cleaning, and working it. I really like the detachable mags. I also like how light the rifle is, and the barrel is already threaded. I put a small scope on top, a muzzle brake on the barrel, and some QD sling mounts in the stock. Only two things I have to say, and both are not negatives. First, the bolt is not polished. It is machine cut, nice rough finish. I expected

1 year agoFirst purchase from Guns.com. Excellent customer service and delivery. After 20 rounds to sight in which had more to do with my novice ability with my Vortex optic than the rifle, was shooting sub MOA 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards and ringing 12, 8 and 5 inch steel plates at 200 yards. Purchased the 223/556 for the compatibility with my AR p-mags B...Read More Read more about review stating Sub MOA out of the box

1 year agoPurchase was quick and easy and it was delivered on time. However, the fit and finish quality of the new rifle was well below what I've been accustomed to from Ruger. I'm now dealing with Ruger customer service to resolve my concerns. Ruger has been helpful and is working with me. Still awaiting a final outcome. If I'd been able to see the rifle i...Read More Read more about review stating Good order processing/delivery but poor rifle quality

1 year agoGuns.com were great with their service when it comes to questions for the product, notify when in stock and help setting up with your most trusted FFL. After shooting this rifle, it feels great. Light weight, balance, handles well and great trigger quality.

1 year agoThank you! I could not be more pleased with my new rifle. Guns.com possessed and shipped my rifle very quickly and it arrived at my local FFL within 3 days of shipping. The rifle was excellent! I will definitely buy from Guns.com again and recommend to my friends and family!

1 year agoI purchased one RAR here, and two elsewhere in different calibers. The one from guns.com had no plastic bag around it, had the bolt installed, and a filthy bore. The other two I purchased were in plastic bags, bolts inside box with lock, and clean bores. I feel like I was sold some Internet Idiot's eval rifle or a return as New.

1 year agoRifle arrived about a week after I ordered it. Brand new and was in excellent shape. Very accurate rifle from 200 to 300 meters. Third firearm I've ordered from guns.com and my experience has been great each time. Awesome gun for plinking.

1 year agoI wasn't certain if a 16" barrel would be accurate, but this gun is super accurate. I have hit my targets at 200 yards. That seems to be the limit, but my range is limited to 200 yards. The only negative is Magpul magazines do not work, but the Ruger mags work great.

1 year agoWonderful accuracy, shooting .5 MOA at 100 yards, 4 shots all touching at 100 yards, thrilled. Classic Ruger.

1 year agoThe gun is a nice priced, solid platform for hunting and target shooting. The bolt will have some resistance at first, but with most guns, the more you shoot it the better it will get. I’ve shot around 30-35 rounds through it and it has smoothed up enough to quietly chamber a round on the sneak sneak. The composite stock has a nice solid feel to it. It does not give like other brands I have held. If composite is not your flavor, there is many aftermarket options available to switch to. All in all I love the way the rifle makes me feel and for the price it can’t be beat.
