The Ruger Precision Rifle takes quality to another level and is equipped with many features to provide a highly customizable shooting experience. The medium-contour barrel with a Ruger Precision Rifle® Hybrid Muzzle Brake works to reduce recoil and blast to the sides of the shooter. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail is securely seated for increased long-range elevation capabilities. An in-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock which provides maximum accuracy. The patent pending multi-magazine interface functions interchangeably with AICS and M110/SR-25/DPMS/Magpul-style magazines and some M14 magazines.
Additional Features:
• CHF barrel with 5R Rifling at minimum bore and groove dimensions, minimum headspace and centralized chamber
• Medium-contour (.75″ at the muzzle) barrel features a Ruger Precision Rifle® Hybrid Muzzle Brake to effectively reduce recoil while minimizing noise and blast to the sides of the shooter.
• Ruger® Precision MSR stock with QD sling attachment points features a bottom Picatinny rail and soft rubber buttpad. The left-folding stock hinge is attached to an AR-style buffer tube and accepts any AR-style stock. Length of pull and comb height are adjustable.
• Three-lug bolt with 70° throw with dual cocking cams and a smooth-running, full diameter bolt body.
• Oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation, with a 5/16″-24 thread pattern for easy replacement. Bolt disassembly tool is stored in the Ruger Precision Rifle® Billet Aluminum Bolt Shroud for easy striker channel cleaning.

2 years agoI recently purchased this Ruger Precision III rifle in .308 from Cabela's and was quite surprised about how easy it was to become "that sharpshooter" .. I hooked up a Vortex Diamondback 16x40 scope on it and off to the range I went. After bore siting it at 30 yards, I moved the target out to 100 yards and released the first round. Unbelievable! in the photo enclosed shows the only 'flyer' at low and SW .. a few clicks later on the Vortex, and the second round placed 2" to the NW.. last 4 rounds? I could place my thumb over all 4 rounds! I was literally dumbfounded! I've never shot like that in my life! and right out of the box! My friends at the range saw me packing up my stuff, and asked why I was leaving so soon? "I don't like to waste ammo" was my response.. after the range went cold, I retrieved my target, and those friends couldn't believe it either.. Ruger has made a good one here!

2 years agoI bought this rifle in 300 PRC, and it is a monster. Outfitted with a Vortex Strike Eagle, this rifle will shoot sub MOA at 200 yds with the average shooter (me). My normal round is Hornady Match. I have only shot it at 200 yds, because that is longest range I have had access to, but plan on taking it to 500, then 1000 yds before the end of summer. Maybe not as accurate, I would consider this gun in 300 WinMag if I had it to do over again because of ammo cost and availability. This gun properly set up with a scope and bipod will cost in the vicinity of $3100 to $3500. Really depends on the optics you choose.

2 years agoHas a lot of features. Shoots very well. Offers big league performance. First outing. Due to the current pricing of ammo was not using a 3/5 shot grouping. Dialed for center then out to a mile on a 66%ipsc, a diamondback tactical 6-24ffp, and factory ammo.

2 years agoFirst bolt gun I've owned. It shoots like a dream right out of the box. I'm only going out to 100 yards but second time out I was putting three of five shoots in a ragged hole. If I were a better shot the other two would be there as well. Bang for the buck this is your rifle.

2 years agoReceived promptly from grabagun.com Great looking rifle with many build in features for a tactical rifle. I have not shooted it yet. I took off a star because the missing of muzzle thread protector and the color poster. I called Ruger and was told these items will not be included in the box anymore. The paper gun box had a punctured hole but nothing inside was damaged. Tikki TAC A1 has all features of Ruger Precision but is $800 more.

1 year agoThis RPR is simply amazing. Very accurate and a blast to shoot. The muzzle break, trigger and stock are fantastic along with a very smooth bolt. 1 year agoWhen i was able to finally put a scope on it and take it out, and adjust it from factory. It was awesome One of the smoothest shooting guns i've ever shot. Will touch out 500 yards easily enough Love hereing that big bullet hit the steel targets. All in all i had my doubts about this gun but after that if i had a redo i wouldn't have waited so long to buy it. Its perfect for thoses that want to touch out there for an entry level gun it's amazing so underrated. Don't know why people are cussing it its entry level what do you people expect.

1 year agofirst two shots WERE FROM 100 YARDS AND THEY OVERLAPPED EACH OTHER...THAT WAS BEFORE THE SCOPE WAS ZEROED. THE BOLT ACTION IS SMOOTH. SUPER EASY TO CLEAN AND THE RECOIL IS AMAZINGLY LIGHT. LOVE IT! The wife giggled for days after shooting it. She not only approved of the purchase but she also approves this message! lol

1 year agoVery impressed with its built quality. Job well done by ruger. Except one minor hiccup which was muzzle brake was not centered. In fact it was sitting diagonally, so I had to use barrel shims to get it straight. Other than that had no issues so far. Only shot about 30 rounds for now. But from what I heard it'll only get better from here as I shoot more rounds.

1 year agoThis is without a doubt the best firearm I’ve ever owned. It’s awesome to shoot, very accurate and just plain awesome! I’ve run a few hundred rounds through it since I got it in mid December 2019 and I guess I’m lucky enough to have a 1000 yard range within 7 miles of me. Ruger knocked it out of the zip code with this model.

1 year agoThis was in stock, so I purchased it. Three days later I receive an email stating my order was canceled because they were out of stock. DUH !!!

1 year agoI read a review that another buyer bought one of these, After the sale they can back and it was out of stock. I hoped that it would not be the case for me. But it was. This is not the issue. They had a pending transaction remaining on my card for more than a week. Just know that they will lock your money down for more than a week

1 year agoArticle said rifle was LNIB, and it wasn't lying. Slapped a thermal on it and went to the range the very next day. Shoots 105gr Hornady Black ammunition very well. 10/10 would recommend.

1 year agoFirst of all the ordering and receiving process from Palmetto State Armory was OUTSTANDING! Now to the Ruger Precision Rifle. I would have given it 5 stars but I did have a couple of problems with the rifle. The lock catch for the stock was slightly canted so it wouldn't close and lock properly. Also, there was some bluing that was marred on the hinge for the stock. I did return it to Ruger and my hats off to them. They returned it to me within 2 weeks and it looks and works great. I

1 year agoThe bolt shroud is loose. I have also upgraded a few cosmetic pieces. The rifle itself is fun to shoot. I am satisfied with the rifle.
