Very few problems from using cheap ammo. Otherwise if you use a quality ammo manufacturer you'll never have any problems again.

I owned the much more expensive Browning version of this pistol and even though It never once gave me any problems, I ended up selling it, though it was with regret. When I found this one made by RIA, I found it to be just as good as the browning, but at a much more reasonable price. So far, it has not disappointed.

The gun felt good but has consistent magazine and failure to feed issues. Gun is at the manufacturer for warranty.

This entered the marketplace in 2019. they had soft slides and would fire about 100 rounds before the sllide stop notch peened out to the point that it wouid not lock back manually or on the last round.I checked out two of them in July 2019 with identical results The manufacturer was aware that this was taking place , was due to soft metal and said that it was present in ALL of the pistols made to that time. Later produciion runs might (or might not) have adequate metallurgy. NONE of the print reviews or videos mention any problems.

Update after 1 year, I was happy at first when I purchase it. After a year and 300 rounds and about 15 miss feeds and the gun not being able to feed bullets into the the tube when racking it. I was using it as a concealed carry which I don't recommend. It is smaller than a compact 1911 and my pinky would hang lower. Fun for the the range not recommended for carry.

It shoots ok but I do have a problem with the cartridge hanging up in the chamber when I rack up the first shot. Also, the magazine is very difficult, almost impossible, to load.

Nice gun for the price if your set on a 1911 style. Sold it tho cause it's edges are so rough. To carry it cuts you. To shoot it hurts your hand. Ruger LCP II is much better and more comfortable to carry & shoot. The baby rock is more of a novelty than practical.

I think I’m going to enjoy it…the feeling of in the hand is awesome and the accuracy is as well…however it did not fiction properly…it would not pick up the next round from the magazine while firing it…after a while I figured out that the problem seems to be with the magazine and not the pistol itself….I will be addressing this with the factory.

The Baby Rock is a good buy overall. The action was a bit stiff when first received; but I field striped it and lubed with CLP and everything smoothed up. I used 6 different brands of ammo and all fed without a problems. The lower cost over the browning makes the Baby Rock defiantly attractive. The only reason for the lower rating are personal. One - the front sight is very dark and hard to see (especially with aging eyes), but can be easily fixed with "sight paint". Two - i believe all pistols of this type should come with two magazines

Good feel, smooth & accurate, low recoil. Had two failures to feed in the first in 100 rounds. Overall like it.

I am very please with the gun I haven’t had a chance to shoot but very much looking forward to shooting . What can I say it is a 1911 the greatest gun designed ever !

This is just a super little pistol. It has some weight to it, but is also perfect for concealed carry. The Rock Island line of pistols always delivers quality. It is my preferred pistol. This is the third Baby Rock .380 I have purchased for customers this year and everyone is very happy!

Great price for a concealed carry weapon. Nice weight. Perfect size. Only drawback is it only comes with one mag. Not two like I read in the post

Done everything it is supposed to, nice tight groups given my lousy technique, BUT only 80 rounds down range thus far.

the baby rock is a very nicely made good,I own 2-rock island 45 cal. a-fs tact II,the other cs with bull barrel.this is in fact a baby compared to a full size 1911.its great to shoot, hard to find extra magazines, had a friend of mine say it looks like a toy, until he fired it then he understood how well it fits your hand.if he had not bought the model 200?revolver 2-weeks before I purchased my baby.great gun.thank you p.w.gaskill

I love My Baby Rock, but the trigger pull is closer to NINE pounds, Not 4 as stated. Sent mine to my gunsmith to reduce the weight of that trigger.

Outstanding pistol. Small, compact but very easy to shoot. Extremely accurate for such a small pistol. It's my new go to for concealed carry.

Nice gun but the trigger is horrendous it's about 9lbs evidently they used to have better triggers but changed for some reason also there are no parts for these and no sear jigs so you'll have to lighten main spring and do the sear by hand to get it suitable haven't shot it yet so not sure about anything else yet.

love my new baby rock 380, shoots very smooth, hardly no recoil, would make a great concealed weapon woman.

PSA is great, this gun, not so much, heavy trigger, sharp edges, ran a few rounds thru it and the slide release backed itself out and jammed the slide solid. Called RIA, no callback, another slide release appeared in the mail 5 days later, which looked and measured the same. Went to my LGS the next day and took a 100 dollar hit and traded it in against a Ruger Max 9. Looked ikea a great pocket carry or backup, but I lost confidence in its ability as a reliable weapon
