The Silver Pigeon I Sporting offers all the functional features of our premium over-under competition shotguns at a particularly attractive price. It is built around the best-in-class 686 action, which is compact and low-profile while being extremely strong. The Optima-Bore, Optima-Choke barrels are light-weight and place the shotgun’s point of balance right at the hinge-pin, meaning lively feel in the hands and natural pointability. And with its select-walnut stock and tasteful scroll engraving, the Silver Pigeon I Sporting won’t fail to turn heads at the range, also thanks to its unmistakeable Beretta looks.

Features:

  • Natural pointability, swing
  • Extreme durability
  • Flawless fit and finish
  • Floral engraving – the receiver of the 686 is embellished with traditional designs reminiscent of the British and European gunmaking schools
  • Floral engraving – the geometry of the scrolls is proportioned to match the elegance of the receiver, as well as to complement the overall lines of this perfectly-balanced shotgun
  • Locking lugs
  • Cold hammer forged barrel – no matter how great a shotgun’s action and how impeccable the balance, the shot must first travel through the barrel in order to make it to the target
  • Monoblock receiver – the monoblock receiver on the 686 makes lock-up positive and vault-like, and greatly enhances the durability of the gun even after many long seasons of hard use
  • Schnabel – the schnabel forend adds a touch of old-world flare to the 686 Silver Pigeon I Sporting, guiding the eye even better along its smooth lines
  • Select walnut – Beretta shotguns such as the 686 Silver Pigeon I Sporting are designed to catch the eye as well as perform flawlessly at the range or in the field

Great shotgun. It lines up perfect for me. The total weight of this on is 7.8 lbs. It swings beautifully. I took it to try it out at the club and got a 25 straight on skeet and a 25 straight on wobble skeet. So far it hasn't missed a bird. I'm really liking it.

This is a fantastic over/under that I tried first a couple years ago. My brother has the field version and I loved it and ended up buying my own. I ended up getting the sporting version because that was the only version I could find that was 30". I used it on a week long upland and duck hunt and it swings smoothly, reliable and perfectly weighted. The cons are: The blueing is pretty easy to scratch, the fold is stiff and I assume that will work out as I use it more. I highly recommend it.

I went out today and tried this new silver pigeon i bought for the first time. It felt great. Last time i shoot was about two weeks ago using my old gun, mossberg silver reserve II. Silver pigeon is well balanced. Lighter. More accurate some how. I shot a lot better with silver pigeon. I dont think my skill improved, but i somehow shot better with silver pigeon. My mossberg is 28 inch. Silver pigeon is 30. Maybe thats the reason i shoot better?

Beautiful workmanship. My grandsons loved getting these heirlooms. Hopefully, they will hand them down to their children.

Great balance and low recoil for an over under 12 gauge. Beretta’s attention to detail is evident in the receiver. Great clay gun!!
