Typhoon Defense X12 12 ga AR Style Shotgun, Black – X120101
Get 12 Gauge power in a familiar platform. With detachable magazines, a fixed stock, a Picatinny rail, and the ability to accept external chokes, this shotgun introduces a level of versatility not seen in a traditional pump action or tube fed semi-auto. The 18.5” barrel is chrome lined and constructed from 4140 Full Steel. Includes polymer flip up sights, but the Picatinny top rail will accept any desired optic. Shoots 2.75” or 3” 12 Gauge shotshells.
The manufacturer recommends breaking in this firearm by lubricating the magazines and firearm generously and then firing 50 rounds of high brass shotshell.
This shotgun comes with 3 five round magazines, 2 rail mounts, 3 additional chokes.

2 years agoI bought one awhile back. Great shotgun and fun to use. No issues, no problems. comes with a "choke" box , which included different chokes to swap out. I was impressed. Great feel and comfortable to use. I would highly recommend this shotgun to any enthusiast. The extra mags are a plus.

2 years agoThe Typhoon looks great! Looking forward to shooting it. I have a collapsible stock on its way. Currently looking for the right optics to match up with the firearm. I’m trying not to spend a fortune on optics. Any ideas??? Please share them.

2 years agoAwesome look and feel. Just the right weight and balance. I bought this for target shooting alongside my skills with pistol target shooting. It fills the bill well and the sale price was nice.

2 years agoThe rifle seems to shoot well with about any load. You need to put sights on it that can be adjusted. The rifle shoots low and you cant adjust the front sight low enough its bottomed out and still shoots low. And it didnt come with a disasembly manual.

2 years agoI was looking for mag fed shotgun at reasonable price for OPEN class 3 gun. Bought the gun and then some Panzer Arms 10 rd mags. Finally got to shoot it and was glad I had done research. Manuf says shoot a bunch of heavy shells through it. Shot some slugs to dial in then switched to 1 1/8th oz bird shot. It became a single shot-jamming with every shot. Ran about three mags through it and almost like magic all the jams cleared up and it ran like a champ. Shot up about 200 rds that day, and I now

1 year agoI love it. Army veteran, this is an untamed beast. I highly suggest you DO NOT PUT IN THE POCKET OF YOURE SHOULDER if you are rapid firing. It kicks like a mule. I only run 1400+ fps shells. Tried 1230fps it kept catching/improper ejection. Over all 5 stars.

1 year agoHave lots of rounds through it already. Handles great. Accepts accessories well. Does not like any low velocity rounds at all. Worked up some slug rounds and found a sweet spot with a load that is accurate and reliable cycling.

1 year agoThis is a neat AR style 12 ga. I frequently experienced FTF and FTE. Typhoon Defense response was to suggest breaking the firearm by shooting 100+ shells. FTF/FTE happens with > 50% of each magazine. No confidence for defense.

1 year agoComparatively good value This copy came with some plastic sights that I found ineffective . I have replaced them with a carry handle and green HiVis post front . It likes heavy loads I put some 9p 00 wolf 1350 fps and worked great, but as others have said you have to run a couple boxes through her before reliable function is achieved . I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the sights. Craftsmanship and fit/finish is good . Overall quite satisfied . And Palmetto's service was admirable as always . This was my 10 th item from them , and it was another fine experience .

1 year agoThe gun looks great, however the box came incomplete from what was advertised. Palmetto said it wasn’t their responsibility and that they were only a distributor. I had to file a better business bureau complaint and, in the end, had to get the sling from typhoon

1 year agoAfter finishing the build of my AR 5.56 NATO, I decided I wanted an AR style shotgun too. Saw this one on sale and it had good reviews, so I bought it. The sights were very close to being right on out of the box with only very minor adjustments. As the product information states, there will be a few malfunctions for the first 25 or so rounds fired. The only problem I experienced was a failure to completely eject a spent round. It happened 3 times on the first 50 rounds, but it hasn’t happened

1 year agoI give it a one star because of materials that the hand guard is made of. Looks like a traditional shotgun. Very light weight. I never shot it. I traded it to another gun store who had a Rock Island VR-80. Much happier with the VR 80 much more solid shotgun.

1 year agoHaven’t had a chance to shoot yet...but quality of build and ease of operation seems to be great! Looking forward to the range soon!

1 year agoI could not believe I paid money for this. This thing is so cheaply made that I was afraid to shoot it. Do not buy this thing. Cheap piece of plastic with cheap parts. I will never buy anything from this Company again. I am embarrassed to sell it. Who would want this garbage.

1 year agoI love this shotgun. I am disappointed that 10 round or better clips are not available. When they are I would like 5 of them.

1 year agoGood price and good quality. Took a few rounds to loosen up but eventually cycled just fine. Whilst shooting 3in mag 00 I realized a better recoil pad was in the cards...

1 year agoThis is a awesome shotgun, I like my Typhoon, mines black. Functions well, I haven’t shot it a lot due to the ammunition shortage, however I have fired a few 00/000 buck through it to break it in, only 3 hiccups in the first 100 rounds but I expected that. Like any new semi automatic, there a break in period so it only gets better from here. It gets lots of looks and questions at the range.

1 year agoOne of the greatest guns out their. Make sure mags are well oiled at all times. Breaking in should use a couple of slugs first followed by 00 buckshots. It should then be broke in without future jamming. Better use would be with the red dot scope.
