The blueing on Smith & Wesson revolvers is so much nicer then Rugers it’s a true classic and the internal lock can be taken care with a simple blued blank plate from TK customs if your considering a blued Ruger and a Smith you can’t compare the blued finish of a Smith to a Ruger I own several of each and by far the Smith finish is better and there really isn’t much of a price difference anymore.

Arrived with bent cylinder yoke and trigger problem. Of the three different S&W Classic models I recently bought new, two had to immediately go to Smith and Wesson for repairs before I ever fired them. 6 to 8 weeks for them to be repaired.

Having collected S & W's for 48 years, I can say that this revolver had the poorest workmanship I have ever see from the S&Wfactory. It was so badly out of time that I had to install a new hand before I could even fire it. I am not critical of this particular model, just the poor quality. Hope this is not the new normal.

S&W does lovely job re-issuing these older models. Public doesn't know these kind are built in their Custom Shop!

I like the fit and feel. Due to its weight and balance, it shoots "straighter" than my grandfather's S.A.A., which I bought it to replace. (It is actually I who shoots straighter.) I still "need" to buy a single action, but this revolver will definitely run some lead, in the meantime. The action is surprisingly easy to work, considering my strong hand had a run-in with a chainsaw a few years back! I would definitely buy it again.

Always been a fan of S&W revolvers. This is one caliber I didn't have. Should have bought one back in the day with the wood presentation case. Well anyway, I have one now and it's a beauty. The only thing about this Classics line is I don't care for the slimmer grips they put on them. Doesn't really fill the palm like the old style. Buy one of these in 45 Colt. You won't be sorry!

Classic looks with the proper heft and weight.Double action pull could be lighter but single action pull is sweet and easy! It is an accurate revolver and if you like revolvers that remind you of the Past,This revolver will fit the bill.It was and is Smith & Wesson's answer to the Colt Single Action with a different look and the ability to fire the classic 45 long Colt in a Double action Revolver!

This S&W 45LC Model 25-15 N-Frame square bottom (can also chamber 410 and 45ACP with moon clip) 6-round revolver is quite light in terms of weight. Action is solid and has a built-in "no-fire" safety feature. Firing it gets me hot and bothered! Gnarly!

This is a great classic firearm. I love the 45 long colt caliber and I shoot those guns as often as I can. It's a solid feeling firearm with a target hammer and a smooth action. It does have a thinner barrel and that does cut down on the weight but the gun weighs enough that recoil is not an issue. The only thing I plan to change on it is the fron...Read More Read more about review stating Great full size revolver and a lot of fun to shoot!

This one was really nice, especially after I put old style factory target grips on it. Really pretty gun, shoots well.

I really wanted an antique Army Model 1917 revolver, but online seemed to be the only sure way to find one, and studying the reviews convinced me that there are just too many scammers unloading junk guns sight-unseen (photos are so easily manipulated) on trusting bidders at the auction sites. So instead I went with a new, modern, fully-warranted v...Read More Read more about review stating Went with a sure thing from an honest dealer
