This is a great revolver. Heavy barrel, 10 shot. Shoot all day withouT going broke. Solid, very well made. I addeD VZ grips for a splash of color.

Took a while to find this one, but it was defi worth it!! Such sturdy construction and shoots Perfectly right out of the case.

Lots of fun to shoot, 10 rounds capacity is the best of any other revolver I ever owned. No issues whatsoever. I painted the front sight with orange paint for better visibility. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's a little pricey. Grap a gun were great like always.

My experience with GrabAGun was, as is typical, without issue. I have never had a problem getting what I order, on time, and at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the revolver in question has been returned to Smith and Wesson for warranty repairs as it locked up the first time I took to the range. One hundred rounds of CCI Mini Mags down range with no problem and then the cylinder locked up and it wouldn’t open or advance. This is not on GrabAGun, but raises serious issues about the reliability of S&W revolvers.

I am very happy that this S&W 617 revolver is now in my possession. It is accurate, has a smooth action and feels good in my hand. It is an excellent buy and a nice looking gun too.

This is my first gun. I am very new to shooting. I am thrilled I made this purchase. I never shot a 22 or a revolver but the reviews online for the 617 were great. It holds ten rounds, which is one of the reason I bought this model. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful gun. I would recommend buying it to anyone. I wanted a 22 lr revolver and got down to a 617 S&W and a Ruger Sp 100. After checking many reviews and reading comparisons my choice was the S&W 617.

needs work! Trigger pull is too strong (10 pounds). S&W rubber grips are the pits. But there is no other choice without going to the open market. You see I was told the S&W no longer provides Quality Grips for there weapons. Way to go, cutting expenses in the exact wrong place>

Despite what Guns.com customer service stated my particular gun is indeed a used Firearm as my gunsmith confirmed Still was charged full retail Lesson learned never buy sight unseen on firearms.

The S&W 617 is an AWESOME revolver! I purchased the 4" model and checked for any lead shaving (alignment), and had no issues. It's not a light weight gun (especially with the full lug) and is very accurate, therefore, very easy to shoot. Out of the revolvers I have, this is now my favorite!

A very well-built revolver, as are all of Smith & Wesson's, and I like the ten round capacity. The only downside to this revolver is the weight, I would like it and I think it could be lighter and still be a great gun and a great shooter.
