1 year agoI have a T3X in .308, which I love. Saw this new one and had to have it. They only had it at the store for 2 days. I added a Leupold VX-Freedom rimfire, and it shoots dime sized 3 shot groups at 100 yards...what a fun gun...can't wait to go varmint hunting. Much faster than a 22 with a flatter trajectory. Sorry I took the only 1 they had...but they will get more I am sure.

1 year agoI picked it up a week ago took it out to sight it in very nice trigger , holding good groups at 50yds off a bench with cci standard velocity should make a super squirrel gun. the only thing is no one has the base to mount a scope so I had to order a Picatinny rail online

1 year agoDuring break in protocol, had target holes touching within bullseye at 50 yards after 15 rounds, so moved to 100 yards and still accurate - the rifle has more accuracy and precision capability than this shooter. After my second range session, was at 1 MOA at 100 yards. I'm looking for a longer range in my area. Fantastic gun - and great affordable practice for my T3X .270 hunting rifle - same stocks and have kept trigger pull the same on both.

1 year agoExcellent rifle, light solid built, Action is smooth. First range time today indoor range 100 yards out of the box. the one far left is on me not the rifle. Can't beat Tikka's quality. i am very happy with the purchase from bass Pro shops. ship fast, good service and staff are very friendly

1 year agoI bought this rifle for NRL22 competition, and it has performed admirably. There are modular pieces for the stock available from Baretta that modify the grip and forearm into more of a target configuration. I ran it in this configuration for a while but eventually dropped it into one of the many chassis systems available for it. After break in, with it's preferred ammo this rifle will turn out groups consistently better than 1 MOA (at fifty yards) with many of them between 0.6 and 0.75 MOA - many times it will make one ragged hole at 50 yards! The trigger on this rifle is one of the best factory triggers I have ever used. There is an adjustment screw for pull weight, and there is virtually no creep or overtravel. I have mine set to a little over a pound, just enough to ensure that the striker engages the sear reliably when the bolt is closed. There are aftermarket options available, but I have no reason to want to replace the factory trigger. The bolt movement on this rifle is very nice after a thousand rounds or so. There was a period of time where it was a little stiff when it was new, but it smoothed out quite nicely over time. The bolt lift is low, around 60° probably, and the throw is short allowing rounds to be cycled very quickly and with minimum disturbance to your shooting position. I have other bolt action rimfire rifles and this one is by far the smoothest and most polished bolt movement of any of them. There is a ton of aftermarket support for this rifle including scope rails, bolt handles, stocks and chassis, muzzle devices, triggers, etc. It enjoys a well deserved reputation for being one of the best factory options for NRL22 competitions. In my opinion, this rifle offers the best dollar-for-dollar performance of anything currently on the market. I'll probably get another one for my kids!

1 year agoI purchased this from Cabellas in Gainesville. Added a Crossfire II scope that was installed by Cabellas. Very happy with this purchase. It is a very smooth functioning and accurate rifle.

1 year agoI had read some reviews which were positive and I was in the market to buy a gun. It was between a CZ 457 or this one, well I'm not disappointed in the T1 X.I have a boatload of rimfires and I have never shot a new one out of the box as accurate as this gun.I had to check the 60 yd target because I couldn't see the holes, there were 2 and one was the size of a dime after 13 shots. This was after 20 or so break in shots with cci sv bullits. I got my CZ 452 out and didn't shoot any better.I nick named the gun T-REX

1 year agoTac driver at 50 yds with Lapua Long Range, 1 inch or less at 100 yds with Lapua Long Range, SK Long Range Match and Eley Semi Auto Bench Rest Precision. Shoots well with just about any of the precision ammo.

1 year agoFit and finish, it honors the Tikka heritage of well made rifles. Precision, it’s a track driver. Only quirks I’ve got are that they don’t better cater to the US market with a better optics mounting system. US loves pic rail, and most of our mounts and rings are based on that. I’d love a nice set of 11mm rings or whatnot from Europe to go with this but that’s another day. I just went with Area419s base and it looks like it was factory.

1 year agoIn mid range guns, that is under $1000 the Tikka T1X is number one value. It shoots as well in terms of accuracy as anything costing double and even a bit more. Nothing in this price range is as good. Hunting is a joy as it built to be a featherweight field gun. Add a quality scope and you are set for the field or range. Worth the money.
