1 year agoBeautiful gun and GrabaGun got it to me in one day: ordered on a Tuesday; transferred to me the very next day. You just can't beat that. Overall I'm very pleased with the gun but there was one thing that had to be corrected upon initial inspection. This gun was shipped DRY. And I do mean DRY. The cylinder would barely spin when in the open position and the thumb latch was hard to move and struck in position. The situation was immediately fixed with a few drops of Mobile 1 and working all … Read More

1 year agoMy first trip to the range with this gun was disappointing to say the least. I loaded the cylinder twice and had two failure to fire out of 12 rounds. Almost no visible mark on those primers. Loaded those two back in the gun and both fired but another round did not. In the old days some guys would shun semi auto pistols in favor of wheelguns because "they always go bang when you pull the trigger". I contacted S&W and they sent a shipping label to return the gun. It was back in a couple of weeks … Read More

1 year agoI shot the 686 SSR revolver for the first time yesterday. I used Federal .357 ammo. I loved the way the gun felt when I shot it. I was concerned about the recoil of the .357 158 grain but it wasn't bad at all. I will try 38 SPL next time out. I will never trade or sell this handgun.

1 year agoHave not got to the range yet. Very good double action trigger. Great Experience with Grabagun, will buy from again most definitely.

1 year agoOne hell of a looking gun. like the idea of the 2 handles. You would think that after buying a &&& gun you would get an adjustment tool to sight in

1 year agoThe last few years I have been buying good quality 9mm semi autos.I bought this SSR because Iiked it's design and style and 4" length. Being about 65 I put a SDM red fiber optic front sight on it. Went to the range with it and four really nice 9mm semi autos. This gun taught me two things none of the semi autos could out shoot it and theirs a big difference between a Smith&Wesson and a lot of other brands out their.

1 year agoGrab A Gun experience was excellent as usual, smooth transaction with great communication. Now for the S&W 686 pro ssr .357 4".... absolute perfection! 3 lb 3 oz single action pull, 8 lb 15 oz double action pull. comes with wood and hogue grips. wood feels nice but pounds the web of your hand with 173 grn keith bullets. added a wiegand base & Fastfire III reflex to match my 617-4" & 629 mountain gun. accurate with everything from bullseye loads to the 173 keith. actually a 10-star rated wheelgun.

1 year agoJust picked this one up. qUick SHIPPING From gag as usuall. One grEat feature wIth this gun is the front sight REPLACEMENT featUre. The Sight is held in place with a spring-loaded mecHanism, that allows you to sWap it out with no tools. I just swapped the oem sight for a Hi viz tritium Sight. Wood grips are very well done.

1 year agoSmooth action, fun to shoot. The grab a quote deal was also nice - got the upgraded version for not much more than the standard 686. I like the extra grips and being able to change out the sights, even though the stock sights are totally adequate. .38 special is very manageable, and .357 ammo is still tame compared to my 10mm S&W M&P 2.0, but I’m sure the weight of the revolver’s metal frame helps manage recoil.

1 year agoI got the gun home and found that the cylinder release is scratching the frame and gouging the cylinder shroud. When the cylinder is open it is not parallel to the frame and the aft end of the cylinder rubs on the frame when turned. This has also rubbed a spot on the frame. Called S&W and gun is going back for repairs. The action and trigger function are fine and are finely tuned.

1 year agoI like everything about this revolver feel and performance wise, but it is advertised as stainless steel finish, it is not. Even in photos, it appears to be stainless. Yet when I picked it up it is a dull brushed finish

1 year agoVery nice handling and comfortable grip. It’s weight is well balanced to improve absorption of kickback.
