This Ruger LCRx is a revolver that offers the same features of the original LCR but also employs an external hammer. This allows for both single- and double-action use, while the swept-back hammer design reduces the risk of snagging on clothing or other items when drawn from a concealed carry position. Even with the addition of the external hammer, the name – Lightweight Compact Revolver – still rings true, thanks to a number of thoughtful features. The aerospace-grade aluminum frame helps to keep the revolver lightweight, as does the fluted cylinder, which is made from high-strength steel. Hogue rubber grips provide a secure grasp and also help to reduce perceived recoil. This American-made revolver is chambered in 38 Special.

2 years agoHave been practicing with it using dry fire. Am happy with its performance. Trigger heavy but very smooth believe it will be exceptional when using live ammo. But sights leave much to be desired in my opinion. The front sight is white but woul prefer orange, green, or red. Will have to change these in the future. The rear sights are adjustable but solid black. I do have some difficulty lining the front and back together. I will change these also. But the price is exceptional for the overall quality of the pistol. Even with theses few problems i am thrilled with my purchase.

2 years agoSuper light weight and surprisingly accurate for its size. Just wish they hadn’t come out with the 3” LCRX in .357 the day after I purchased this one. Grab a gun was excellent, a smooth transaction.

2 years agoLight, concealable, excellent DA trigger with an exposed hammer to allow SA. The factory-provided grip (longer than the grip on the snubby model) provides very good control.

1 year agoI'm a big Ruger fan and when I saw the LCRx with 3" barrel in 38 Special +P I couldn't pass it up. I like the added control of an exposed hammer and I've been wanting a revolver with a 3" barrel for some time. It improves the sight radius and accurate. The revolver weights about 15 oz which is a little light for running 38 Special +P but the Hogue Tamer monogrip when held firmly makes for satisfying handling. I have no reservations adding this to my EDC rotation.

1 year agoI will use this as a backup gun.there is nothng you really need to add/change to this gun.the trigger is great.the front sight ramp is long.paint the ramp with some white nail polish and you won't need to buy after market sight.unless you want to.the 3 inch barrel keeps muzzle down and you higher velocity.i have three rugers and they are all good solid guns

1 year agoI’m really liking this lightweight dynamo. It handles +P ammo with little more recoil than a steel frame revolver. My only issue was that it shoots way left with the rear sight centered. I adjusted the sight quite a bit to the right to get it to shoot properly. This is the firearm I keep on my UTV in the seat over pouch. The light weight prevents it from ripping the seams of the attached pouch.

1 year agoStill waiting for 7 day waiting period for lcrx 357. I did however get to look at it. Feels perfect and I'm sure I will love it as much as my lcrx 22lr.

1 year agoI find no valid reason to dislike my LCRX Magnum. Though larger than I imagined, it fits my small hands perfectly. Easy to unload & reload. The quality of this revolver is worth the extra cost over other like revolvers. No regrets purchasing this gun. I am not a proficient shooter, 75 yrs old with arthritis in both hands. However, on my first ...Read More Read more about review stating Ruger LCRX 22magnum 3”

1 year agoBought the LCR as a backup / ankle holster gun. Trigger pull in double action is very smooth and in single action crisp and clean. Mono grips do a great job of providing ample control on the small frame. As a 9mm revolver it’s a bit unique but with the use of provided full moon clips the extraction and reload functions are fast and positive. Great...Read More Read more about review stating LCR 9mm revolver

1 year agoIt will be GREAT, when done putting on green laser that comes with new grips that I can get better accuracy by using my pinky finger, grip is everything

1 year agoIt's light and concealable. It's got a nice trigger in single action and not bad in double. Considering the extremely short barrel, it's fairly accurate.

1 year agoI bought this primarily for plinking at the range or possibly concealed carry. My preferred carry is usually a 9mm Glock. it’s lightweight, decent build quality, accurate, easy to shoot, super smooth trigger, and no issues to speak of. Definitely recommend to everyone.

1 year agoI bought this LCR for my wife who prefers a revolver rather than a semi-auto. I also bought a Crimson Trace grip so she'll have no problem with her aim.

1 year agoI know the cons of a 5 round 38spl revolver, but for me they are advantages. Light weight, low recoil, slim design and the simplicity. It’s not a pistol for target practice and accuracy isn’t priority. Not for those who want high capacity ammo and 17 automatic rounds, but for me its perfect for home and car.

1 year agoI’m very happy with my gun. Light weight, easy to handle and fits nicely in my hand. I would recommend to anyone who wants a small light weight gun.

1 year agoDefinitely a smooth but heavy trigger pull. Very light and easy to carry. I am not a big fan of the plastic lower at all. In all honesty I would’ve preferred a SP101 or GP100, but this was literally the only thing available in .327 federal so I just went with it. Other than the plastic lower and no pinky grip it’s a decent lil backup. Just doesn’t...Read More Read more about review stating Good enough
