1 year agoI am a hardcore glock guy but I’m also a gun guy and thought I would give the smith a test, I kick myself for not buying this gun sooner. The fit finish, the quality, the ease at changing hand grips, the stipling, sites, trigger that can be adjusted, what can I say, you have to to try one out, you will not be disappointed!

1 year agoThis is a fantastic handgun and a great value at its price. It has a good overall feel. The interchangeable backstraps make a significant difference. I strongly recommend you take the two you think are best fits to the range to confirm your choice when shooting. I was confident when handling the gun that I had the best choice, only to change my mind when I felt the difference at the range, ultimately making a slightly different choice. The porting significantly reduced muzzle rise. The factory sights are not spectacular, but not horrible either. They are "factory sights". I have not yet fitted an optic, but intend to do so. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and am considering picking up the matching .40 S&W as well.

1 year agoThe M&P lineup has always impressed me in comparison to other handgun manufacturers. Buying the performance CORE model was no exception as it over performed my expectations. The amount of control you have with the ported barrel and accuracy from the trigger upgrade from the standard model deliver one of the best handguns I own.

1 year agoThis is by far the best handgun I own and I own a few. It is now my EDC. Its a big gun for Every Day Carry but I'm a big guy. Very accurate, very well balanced and ergonomic. The ported barrel and slide definitely help to mitigate muzzle rise and thus keep you on target. I have mounted a Vortex Venom RDS and Streamlight TLR-1 weapon light which help to make this great gun even better. Stock trigger is also solid, crisp. Defintely a Glock killer in my opinion.
UFT Protection
1 year agothe barrel gets dirty very quickly and strongly, if you use a red dot sight it will be clouded by the openings of the barrel, when you shoot a few raunds
