Ruger Blackhawk .45LC 7.5-inch BL

After initial break in the gun shoots very well. Very easy to keep close groups at 25 yards freehand. The only thing I don't like about it is the loading gate. With the gate open and the cylinder in the stop position the shells can't be loaded or unloaded. You have to hold it just short of the cylinder stop. This makes loading a little slower but you don't buy a single action for fast reloading anyway.I did make walnut grips for the gun to replace the plastic ones.

Ruger makes a great single action revolver. Very strong , Accurate and dependable. This is my fifth Ruger handgun purchase, and I have not been disappointed with any of their products. This Ruger Blackhawk .45 colt is an awesome gun! Very accurate and so much fun to shoot. The variety of loads you can use makes this gun fun for the whole family. This is a solid well built single action Hammer. Really handles well and very accurate out to 50yds.

Bought this pistol as a used 20 yr old pistol from My local shop. Im very satisfied. Tight groups at 30 yards with generic ammo. 44 mag. 44 special. Love the action. No half cock. My new Blackhawk is a nice quality well made Ruger. The fit and finish is awesome on all surfaces. It’s a real nice shooter as I have already gone through a hundred rounds. Ruger Blackhawks are some of the best values in handguns to be found. They are well-built, reliable and come in many calibers. They are insensitive to differing loads that would cause feeding issue in semi-autos. They are my very favorite form of handguns.
