1 year agoAmmo is reliable and no fail to fire incidents out of several boxes. Not the sweet spot ammo for my particular rifle, over 1 MOA vs other ammo I have grouped 1/2 MOA. But do note that various twist rates and rifles will have their own particular sweet spot ammo. Definitely usable and acceptable for varmint.

1 year agoUsing this ammo at long range for hunting has worked very well. I feel it is more accurate and performs much better then the FMJ 55gr and is worth the extra few dollars. There is a pressure warning on Hornady for Superformance out of barrels shorter then 20 inches but I have not had any issues with my Ruger AR556 with feeding or pressure after a couple hundred rounds. I have tried many different 5.56 and .223 rounds and this, I believe, is the best stuff out there for performance and accuracy.

1 year agoMINI-14 RANCH S/S 2.5 X 10 SCOPE 2.5" 5-SHOT GROUPS AT 300 YARDS ALL DAY EVERY DAY. COMPLETE PASS THROUGH ON COYOTES FROM ANY ANGLE (YES WE HAVE 'YOTES IN SOUTH MS). EVEN WITH COMPLETE PASS THROUGH EVIDENCE OF PLENTY OF EXPANSION AS EXIT WOUNDS ARE QUITE LARGE. UNABLE TO TRY ON DEER YET AS SEASON IS 3+ MONTHS AWAY. RESPECTING ENERGY LIMITATIONS ANY WHITETAIL BETWEEN MY MUZZLE AND THE 200 YARD LINE WILL BE VENISON ROAST!

1 year agoThis ammo reminds me of a P. O. Ackley saying in his book "Guide for Shooters & Reloaders". "Pull the trigger and gazorp!" Meaning put the bullet in the right place & it is all over with. Truly amazing ammo. Accurate powerful (for a 223) deadly & relatively inexpensive. Bought yourself some!

1 year agoI had been watching this ammo for Palmetto's great sales. I waited too long to purchase it once wasn't going to miss it again and sure enough bam great sale price. I bought 280 rounds. It arrived quickly it's faster than almost all 75 grain ammo and I haven' missed my target yet.

1 year agoI will update after I see how it shoots. Got 2 boxes of this delivered today. Both boxes had tarnished/discolored rounds. Not just a few little spots, either. I mean, 75% of some cases were dark brown and every case had a little. I know it’s likely nothing wrong in the short term as far as performance, but for $1.10 per round, I’m not ok with it.
